ALT A photo of me, holding my sixth Cora Lael crime-thriller, The Stolen Dead. The cover shows a woman with red hair and wearing a green coat, black jeans and black boots, walking along a Suffolk shingle beach bordered by old houses. Dark clouds are overhead and an angry sea crashes at the shore. The tagline reads: “A killer hunts their next victim. Pray it’s not you.”

ALT The blurb on the back cover of The Stolen Dead reads: "A body on a beach becomes the first clue in a deadly mystery. The first victim is found on a Suffolk beach, a pile of debris carefully arranged onto his body. When DS Rob Minshull and Dr Cora Lael stumble across the dead man, South Suffolk CID are quickly thrown into a perplexing murder case. Then a second victim is found on another beach, again meticulously posed. As the media whips up a frenzy for the killer dubbed 'The Beachcomber', the pressure is on for the squad to find the murderer, fast. Cora's ability to sense psychic echoes from found objects might bring some answers. But with a terrified community desperate for answers, can The Beachcomber be stopped before more lives are lost? A heart-stopping detective novel that fans of Cara Hunter, LJ Ross and Kate Ellis will love."
