Spent the afternoon with the @iastate_cals Fish Management class and DNR surveying a local pond and learning about community fisheries management! Found some 3 year old 8.5” gills in the process!!! Great way to spend a beautiful fall day!

We reintroduced paddlefish to the Iowa Great Lakes!!! Some of these fish are acoustically tagged so we can learn about where they go and what they do the next 1.5 years in order to assess stocking success
