Britney’s statement hits different when you remember that this is the same industry that is humiliated and abused Britney since her debut at 16 for doing the very things that the pop girlies now are doing. 😔
"A lot of girls last year have definitely done the complete image I used to have when I was younger.. and yo that's cool but at least mine was real.
I’m the original B school girl who did backflips and backhand springs and fell in love with people on every set I ever went to.
To all the girls who say I’m history,. I’m PROPHECY." — Britney Spears via Instagram

It is not an homage if it is a 1:1 copy you have to at least have a little bit of your own flavor in there. that is what Britney Spears was saying you have these girls who are taking everything that she does as a 1:1. she is a daughter of Janet, and she still had her own flavor.
#SOULDIERS, is this a sign that Repeat is going to be @SoulidifiedSMBL’s next single?? 🤔😭🙏🏽
Just saw this on my FYP on TikTok. The way it would be awesome if @SoulidifiedSMBL and @3quencyofficial performed at the @1027KIISFM Jingle Ball concert. 😍

These Filipino artists aren't even submitting with the expectation of winning a #Grammy. For them, simply getting considered for a nomination is already an opportunity to put their names and music on the global map. That alone can open doors, introduce their music to new audiences, and potentially gain them new listeners.
Even if just 5 or 10 people discover their music because their names appear on a Grammy consideration list, that's already a win. That's 5 or 10 more people who might listen to their songs, explore Filipino music, and become genuine fans. That's exposure. That's progress. And that's how you start building a bigger audience beyond your own country.
But that's exactly what these entitled BTS fans don't understand. They're so caught up in the mindset that everything has to be about winning that they can't comprehend how simply being seen by a bigger audience can already be valuable for artists who are still trying to break into the global market.
Not every artist has the same resources, reach, or starting point. Not everyone is operating at the same level of commercial success. And not everyone measures progress by trophies.
You don't have to understand an artist's goals to respect them. Just because your faves' Grammy journey didn't end the way you expected doesn't mean other artists are foolish for pursuing theirs.
Stop judging Filipino artists by standards and expectations that have nothing to do with their actual goals. They're trying to open doors for Filipino music, not prove they're better than your idols.
Sometimes, getting your name in the out there is already a victory. And you don't get to belittle that just because you can't see beyond the trophy.

BINI on the new Best Asian Pop Music Performance award in the Grammys:
“We see it as a door opening, not a box closing.”
That may be one of the greatest quotes I’ve read on this highly controversial new category. And that says a lot. That speaks volumes to the minuscule chances P-POP and OPM have in the world stage. I remember Alex Eala’s quote after winning Washington, “for others (Grand Slam winners), this maybe nothing but for a kid in PH, this is everything”
Manifesting for even just a nomination! 🥹🌺🇵🇭

calling acts who submitted to this category sellouts, nugu & khias are so low. crying about racism then continue to speak ill of these smaller asian acts who only want to showcase what they can do to the world. like sorry if they don't have the money & fame your faves has smh.
Was randomly scrolling on YouTube and saw that @Soulidified’s song “What’s Your Name” was posted on their channel a day ago. #SOULDIERS, let’s keep the momentum going and hype up this video to 1M like we did with #ManAintMe: youtu.be/3ie2Ax4TKhI?is=Rarx…
