project hail tris ✶

We did many versions of this scene-tested funny things like, rocky using one of his arms mimicking grace’s mouth(you talking too much kinda thing) but key feeling was frustration for rocky and i thought what if he hits his head to glass, rest was history :)

This is from Life is Reason sequence. It was almost impossible for puppeters do puppeting - so we took over this seq and brought him to life - puppet was ised for lighting ref

The shot where he “dances” and uses his crystal like a mic was something i suggested, since Rocky mimics Grace, so he was trying to be good friend :)

This still from the sequence fully animated by our talented animators. When i watched the movie 3 times in cinema and every single time people crying and hearing them sobbing/sniffing… makes me so so so proud 🫶

This scene - we didnt talk about it much but i might do a little breakdown video - is another, short but very emotionally important scene. The way Rocky acts here - we worked on every shot for weeks and weeks, to find the best performance for maximum emotional impact for audience
