It's exciting to hear the Secretary of Agriculture so fired up about opening up trade markets for U.S. fresh potatoes. Access to these healthy, nutrient-dense potatoes would only benefit folks in Japan.

Some flavors are meant to go together. This… isn’t one of them. Say hello to PoTapple Juice — crisp, smooth, and deeply confusing. Available April 1 (but probably never again).

I had a great conversation with the Michigan Potato Farmers Association about the challenges they and our larger agriculture community are facing. Michigan’s potato farmers play a vital role in feeding America and the world, and I’m proud to support policies that help them thrive! Fun fact: Michigan potatoes fill 1 out of every 4 bags of potato chips made in the U.S. 🥔

The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee’s recommendation to reduce starchy vegetable consumption is unsupported by nutritional science and will confuse consumers. @USDA & @HHSGov should focus on increasing Americans’ intake of vegetables overall. More: nationalpotatocouncil.org/dg…

New research out of U of Toronto: When eaten together, carbs, protein and fat all stimulate satiety, signaling you to eat less. Not only should potatoes be the “go-to” for keeping kids full, they also deliver excellent nutritional benefits. @SpudSmartMag bit.ly/4dyRIJ2
