Day 2 at #NICOLE- forum on industrially co-ordinated sustainable land management in Europe, Fall Workshop 2026 in #Rotterdam is underway! 🌟 Day 1 highlighted the growing importance of resilient contaminated land management, with discussions on EU soil policy, PFAS-related challenges, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable remediation solutions. We were also pleased to present the @mibirem poster and exchange ideas with experts from industry, research, and the environmental community. Today’s programme shifts the focus from technical solutions to sustainable land reuse and the policy framework needed to support long-term remediation outcomes. We are especially excited to present the latest MIBIREM results on the feasibility and acceptance of microbiome-based remediation and biostimulation, and to continue the dialogue with stakeholders from across Europe. Great week in #Lisbon representing @mibirem at the #CommonForum meeting✨ We shared the latest project results on microbial strain isolation, microbiome cryopreservation, preservation of remediation consortia, and predictive tools that can help make soil and groundwater bioremediation more effective. Equally valuable were the discussions with regulators, policymakers, researchers, and environmental practitioners from across Europe.
