In ~9 million people, fluoroquinolones as a class showed no increased risk of Achilles tendon rupture vs amoxicillin.
A small, short-term signal was seen only with levofloxacin, only in adults >60, only within 30 days.
Even then, absolute risk ≈ 9 per 100,000. @Seth0Neill
