Urgent Pro Bono Alert (Please RT): I've been in a case for Advocate at the NMC that's now SIX years old despite being v straightforward. Last 2 days (remote) next Thurs/Fri but I can't do - v limited submission on an outstanding issue of fact, then misconduct/FTP impairment..1/n
on ALL contested matters save one (which remains as a "technicality.") - all that's left are record keeping/obs taking issues from a single shift, error that nurse admitted way back in 2017! Listed for 2 days, might be done in 1. If anyone can be a superhero and step in...

You might recall @The_HCPC consultation on continuing to hold remote #FitnessToPractise hearings following the pandemic. A staggering 87% of respondents to the consultation did NOT agree that the HCPC should be able to continue remote hearings. The HCPC's going ahead anyway.

Last week, the MoJ published the most recent annual statistics on inquests.
Key findings include:
- The highest level of deaths in state detention since reporting began. The increase is thought to be largely driven by covid-19 deaths in the close contact prison environment. /1
