Last night, the Board of Aldermen approved my proposal to enhance the City’s Office of Youth Services and strengthen its role in supporting Manchester youth. This proposal is the result of over six months of work and community engagement. With this effort, we can continue to improve upon our efforts to address chronic absenteeism, classroom engagement, and graduation rates. Thank you to all who contributed to this process. Please see the press release below for more details:

These abhorrent acts of hatred and vandalism have no place in Manchester. Those responsible must be identified and brought to justice. Our city will not tolerate antisemitism, racism, homophobia, or any form of hate. Anyone with information or surveillance footage related to these incidents is urged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.

This morning, I joined the Governor and community leaders for the announcement of @KellyAyotte NH Promise initiative, offering tuition-free college to eligible NH students from families earning under $100,000 annually. Here in Manchester, Manchester Community College and UNH Manchester help prepare the next generation. This initiative expands educational opportunities, strengthens our workforce, and invests in Manchesters future. Thank you, Governor Ayotte, and all the partners making this possible.

Today, we celebrated the ribbon cutting at 967 Elm St, a beautiful new addition right in the heart of downtown Manchester. What was once office space has been transformed into new apartments, creating more opportunities for people to live downtown and be part of everything our city has to offer!

Proud to join Harbor Care, Eversource, and our community partners at the NH Veteran Stand Down 2026. Two years ago we pledged to end veteran homelessness. Today we celebrated our collective success: 136 veterans housed and a system that can quickly respond to a veteran in crisis. This progress is possible because of our partners who show up for veterans every day. We’ll continue working together to ensure veteran homelessness remains rare, brief, and nonrecurring.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the bravery of those who responded in our nation’s darkest hours. We remember the families who lost loved ones and the heroes who put the lives of others before their own. We will always remember. We will never forget.
