I make better clones, to the point of them not being clones. Because they are better than the shitty mega-apps.
I do not understand all the excitement over being able to make shittier clones of shitty desktop mega-apps. You have a magic coding robot and your big idea is to copy deeply mediocre software that users generally hate?!? Please aspire to do better with your tokens.

What's up with Opus 5.5 today - it seems kind of fast and way smarter than usual.

Vibe coded OSS is a cache. Saves you tokens and reinventing the wheel over and over.
Vibe-coded OSS libs are almost meaningless today The value of open source has never really been to publish code for free The value has always been someone willing to maintain that code for the years to come, so that you can rely on it

Forget GPUs. I need more disk for all the build caches and tools my agents pull 😵‍💫

So, I made a version that sounds how it looks. Synthesized in Slab and matched to the fframes project by Claude.

Hot take: This kind of stuff will become an endless chain of frog leaps driving optimizations nobody bothered to do before. 👉 Slop rewrite driven optimization.
as it turns out, you can spend $168 within a few hours & get tsgo to beat the "$400k" slop rewrite in a mere (+3,905 / −298) don't let anyone tell you engineering is solved folks, clearly throwing tokens at a problem ain't it 😀

💯 agree
Sustained open source is not about "can you create something crazy with an LLM" but how is the project maintained longer term. Who is the person behind the project, are they reasonable people, are they responding to issues in a timely fashion, making sane decisions. Stewardship.
