Same day, one year apart. Last year we had a lovely field covered with #wildflowers supporting wildlife and connecting people to nature. This year is just sad browning clippings. @ReadingCouncil we can do better, for #nature and people

Amazing fun in our #SouthAfrica Ecology & Conservation Field Course @ReadingBioSci @UniofReading Students learned about wildlife ecology & behaviour, as well as conservation management & engagement. We used various survey methods, some requiring hard labour with shovels & picks!

In the field course students also design & conduct research projects in small groups. Data is collected on site & next semester they will analyse & present findings in a mini symposium. All the learning is wrapped with fun activities & reflection times over a fire or at sunset
