John Cleese, 86, is being targeted by activist group Deenified as he tours England with his Holy Grail stage show. The group has accused him on X of "using your platform to attack Islam" and "spreading dangerous misinformation," with one activist calling free speech "a convenient shield for anti-Muslim hostility." Cleese rejects the Islamophobe label entirely, calling himself "Islamosceptic," and has pointed out nobody ever called him "Christophobic" after Life of Brian. Islamic outlet 5Pillars has gone further still, explicitly demanding he be de-platformed. Rupert Lowe has already called this what it is: a pressure group trying to bully an 86-year-old man into silence over jokes and honest opinions. He's right, and he's right to tell Restore Britain to back Cleese publicly. These people don't want dialogue. They want submission. Every time someone caves to this kind of pressure, it teaches them the tactic works, and they come back harder next time for the next target. Cleese is refusing to bow, and every single person who values the right to criticise a religion without getting hounded for it should be standing directly behind him. Protect @JohnCleese, at all costs.

Premier Jetten. Homohaat? Of gewoon kritiek?

In 2020, 13-year-old Callum Manning from South Shields, England, created an Instagram account for one simple reason. He loved books and wanted somewhere to share his reviews. At the time, the page had around 50 followers. Then some students at his new school found it. Instead of encouraging him, they created a group chat and mocked him for reading, calling him names like “creep” and “sad weirdo.” Callum was added to the chat and had to watch the messages appear himself. It hurt more than he expected. He later said it was the first time in a long while that he had actually cried. His 24-year-old sister, Ellis, decided to do something. She shared what had happened online, hoping maybe 20 or 30 of her friends would follow Callum and leave a few kind comments. That wasn't what happened. Within days, Callum went from around 50 followers to hundreds of thousands. Authors including Neil Gaiman, Malorie Blackman, Matt Haig and Caroline Kepnes reached out. Publishers offered him books. Waterstones encouraged him to keep reviewing and offered him a free book when he next visited. And Callum kept reading. The account that classmates had mocked became the place where hundreds of thousands of people came to hear what a 13-year-old thought about the books he loved. His sister had only wanted a few people to remind him that there was nothing embarrassing about loving books. She found an entire community waiting to tell him the same thing.

The media attacks against @SaveEuropeAct and myself are ramping up, branding us a right-wing extremist organization, with the help of an “ex” intelligence agent. Right-wing extremism used to be a term only applied to violent ideology, but back in 2023 they moved the line from bombs and bullets to thoughts and opinions. Essentially labelling everyone who wants a stop to mass-migration and argues for Remigration a security threat. The real reason they are attacking us so hard is that we are no longer just individuals. We are an organization. We are mobilizing. That is what truly scares them. So they slap the most extreme labels on us to delegitimize and shut us down. These attacks of course are lies. They are afraid of us. But we are not afraid of them. Now is the time to grow the movement. Sign the Save Europe Act and help us reach one million signatures: save-europe-act.com/

A year ago, I coined the Majority Rights Argument in my homeland, the Netherlands, in preparation for the Culture Defense legal case. The situation in Europe has grown ever more dire these past twelve months and, with what's now unfolding in Spain and England, I've decided to make the argument freely available to anyone who wants to take their government to court over failing its duty of care toward its own population, carried out in the name of human rights. The Majority Rights Argument (MRA) does not invent a new right. It works entirely through existing individual human rights, but simply asks that those rights be applied symmetrically. The MRA's central claim: when an individual's human rights are affected by a substantial alteration of the cultural and social environment in which that individual conducts private and family life, the relevant legal principles should apply irrespective of whether that individual belongs to a minority or to the established majority. None of the underlying law is novel. Article 8 ECHR already protects private and family life, including a person's social relationships, lifestyle and cultural identity. The jurisprudence on Roma and Traveller communities establishes this clearly. Article 14 ECHR requires that any differential treatment between comparable groups be objectively and reasonably justified. That justification has never been tested for the majority. Article 15 ICESCR recognises the right of everyone to take part in cultural life, though it functions as a source of interpretation, not a direct cause of action, in most domestic courts. Yet no court has ever been asked to apply this reasoning on behalf of individuals belonging to an established majority population. An individual belonging to an established population holds the same human rights as everyone else, while lacking any recognised legal vocabulary for presenting a substantial change to his or her cultural and social environment as a human rights concern, because that environment constitutes the established norm and is, for that reason, treated as legally invisible. Let's call it the Unprotected Majority Problem. An example. A community of a few hundred people is informed, without consultation, that a site beside it will house migrants numbering several times its own population within months. That community's character, its relationships, its habits, the shared life its residents built over generations; all emergent properties produced collectively through years of interaction, yet still something each individual resident is entitled to rely on in conducting a private and family life. That is why any one resident, not the village as a body, can bring the claim. Article 8 imposes positive obligations on the state. In other contexts, courts have required that individual interests be identified and weighed before the state acts, not after. The MRA's claim is that the same obligation applies here. The MRA asks a court to do one thing: take a principle it has already applied to minority communities, and test whether it holds when applied to everyone else. It makes no claim on policy outcomes, only that the relevant interests be identified, assessed and weighed. This is a living instrument. If you want to add to it, help build the case law and model pleadings behind it, or contribute in another way: get in touch. Ceuta is not a Spanish problem. Piddington is not an English problem. This peril belongs to all of the West. Let's face it together. democratischevernieuwing.org…

PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS YOUNG MAN FAMOUS Yotam Budnik is a 12th-grade student from Rehovot 🇮🇱 just won a gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics in Uzbekistan but was not allowed to compete under the Israeli flag. When Yotam was awarded his medal 🏅 stepped onto the podium, pulled an Israeli flag out of his pocket and wore it in defiance of the Anti-Semitic discrimination. While the medal 🏅 was revoked from him for his courage, he has no regrets "The law that prevents me from waving the flag is based only on politics, and I thought there was no place for that in a scientific competition", he said. The organizers demanded that he return his medal. Yotam said no. Organizers took away his certificate and removed his ranking from the website. Please help make sure the world knows the name Yotam Budnik and that he is not only a world class computer science genius, but also a man of courage and pride of the Jewish people 💙
