The math isn't mathing.
The world spends more than three times as much on fossil fuel subsidies as it would cost to transition to clean economies for a safe climate and air.
The solutions are ready and the money is there. What’s needed now is action at scale.

🌡️ El Niño is firmly established and will intensify into a very strong event in the coming months. WMO forecasts show ~100% likelihood that it will persist through February 2027.
A very strong El Niño ≠ same impacts everywhere.

New report from @UNEP : 'Limiting Overshoot, Navigating exceedance of 1.5°C and pathways towards return’
Details ⬇️
Global warming is set to cross 1.5°C, pushing climate risks and impacts to increasingly dangerous heights, a new UNEP report warns.
Predicted impacts include extreme weather and threats to human health and economies.
Action now can still limit the magnitude and duration of the peak and preserve the possibility of returning to or below 1.5°C through an ‘overshoot, peak, and decline’ pathway
