Former hostage Bar Kuperstein endured two years in Hamas captivity — starved, beaten, and subjected to relentless physical and psychological abuse.
He turned that pain into art through The Last War, a beautiful song created with famous musician Elaytzur (“Tamid Ohev Oti”).
Bar is writing music. Alon Ohel is back at the piano. Andrey Kozlov is painting. Eli Sharabi and Elya Cohen wrote a book.
Hamas tried to break them. But they came out of Gaza stronger, unbroken, and louder than ever.

People sometimes ask if I actually love baseball. And yes, absolutely I do. But maybe not for the regular reasons. It gave me something to hold on to during a childhood of brief homelessness, isolation and abuse. I'll always be grateful. Happy Opening Day. newsday.com/sports/columnist…

THREAD: For 47 years, the Iranian Regime has been regularly targeting and killing Americans.
Here is a timeline of 50 plus examples of Iran hurting America and terrorizing the world.
1979: The Iranian regime took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran resulting in a 444‑day hostage crisis.
1983: The Iranian regime provided material support to Hezbollah for the Beirut Marine barracks bombing that killed 241 U.S. service members.
1984: The Iranian regime’s proxy Hezbollah kidnapped CIA station chief William Buckley in Beirut. Buckley died in captivity.
1984: The Iranian regime’s proxy Hezbollah carried out the truck bomb attack on the U.S. Embassy annex in Beirut, killing 24.
I’m devastated. A good friend and dormmate of mine, Amin Pourfarhang, has been sentenced to death after protesting in Iran 😭 He’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.
Please share. Visibility raises the cost for the Islamic Republic and may stop this execution!

Like all of you, I am utterly stunned and heartbroken and sick to my soul today. It is unimaginable to write these words. I met Charlie Kirk when he was 18 years old, a young man so eager and determined that I immediately turned to a friend and said, “That kid is going to be the head of the RNC one day.” Charlie became even bigger and more important than that. It was a privilege to watch this principled man stand up for his beliefs and create the single most important conservative political organization in America. But more importantly, Charlie was a good man, a man who believed in right and wrong, who stood by his Biblical values. All of us will miss him, and I can’t imagine the pain of his beautiful young family, and we must all pray for them. And we must pick up the baton where Charlie left it, fighting for the things he believed in so passionately. And we must fight for a better America - an America where good people can speak truth and debate passionately without fear of a bullet. I weep for Charlie’s family, and I weep for my country today. Most of all, I weep for Charlie.

I think I’m breaking up with the @Mets for my mental health. I’m starting a new relationship with the @BKCyclones.
I’ll probably be back but right now this isn’t good for me. I’ll always have love for you but need some space

Angelyn Aguirre, a 32-year-old newlywed Filipina nurse, was at Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7. When Hamas terrorists arrived, she could have fled, but chose to stay with her elderly patient until the very end. They were killed together.
Ben Shimoni returned to the Nova festival four times to rescue as many people as he could, even though he had the chance to escape. On his fourth trip, he was tragically murdered by Hamas.
Ibrahim Kharuba, an Israeli Bedouin hero, was killed on October 7 after rescuing a wounded officer and eliminating 17 terrorists. He gave everything in defense of his country.
Arnon Zamora was killed by Hamas during the heroic mission that rescued hostages Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv. His courage and leadership will forever be remembered in Israel’s history.
Amit Mann, 22, was a Magen David Adom paramedic and instructor. On October 7, she worked tirelessly in the clinic at Kibbutz Be’eri, treating the wounded for hours as terrorists approached. She was murdered along with her patients when Hamas broke in. Amit never stopped helping others, even in her final moments.
Aner Shapira, 22, saved lives with his bare hands. As Hamas terrorists threw grenades into the shelter where he was hiding, he threw seven of them back, one after another. Thanks to Aner, at least seven people escaped what became known as the “shelter of death.”
Yehonatan Yitzchak Samo was killed in battle in Gaza. After his death, his organs were donated, saving the lives of six people, including an eight-month-old baby. Yehonatan was a hero in life and in death.
Ori Danino drove back and forth to the Nova festival to save lives, even after receiving warnings that it was too dangerous. He rescued hostages Omer Shem Tov, Maya, and Itay Regev, who were later kidnapped with him. In captivity, Ori gave strength to others, especially Eliya Cohen, helping him keep faith. Hamas feared him. He resisted until the end, even blinding one of his captors on the way to Gaza. Ori was brutally murdered in captivity.
Shlomo Ron, 85, was at home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz with his wife, two daughters, and grandson. When terrorists approached, he told his family to hide in the safe room, then sat alone in the living room. When Hamas entered, he said he was alone. They shot him on sight and left. His sacrifice saved his family.
HEROES OF ISRAEL 🇮🇱
May their memory forever be a blessing 🕯️

When Black people say something is racist, you listen.
When LGBTQ+ people say something is homophobic, you listen.
When Muslims say something is Islamophobic, you listen.
When Jews say something is antisemitic, you gaslight us, ignore us, or speak over us.
Why is it so hard to treat Jews with the same respect you afford everyone else?
