I’m absolutely delighted to have received this letter from the Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria today. I genuinely love what I do, and it means so much to have that work recognised in such a thoughtful way. 💚🚑
Ensuring communities have access to a defibrillator 24 hours a day is a vital part of improving the response to cardiac arrest, particularly in rural areas. Yesterday, saw two new installations at Junction 45 Truckstop and Rob Little’s Garage, demonstrating what can be achieved through community fundraising and strong local partnerships.
It has been a pleasure to support this project, and I would like to thank Longtown Community First Responders for raising all the funds, alongside Rob Little and his team for supporting both locations.
CPR awareness sessions will follow soon, helping staff develop the confidence to act in an emergency and strengthening the community’s ability to respond when every second counts

Today I received a lovely card from someone about to begin their career with @NWAmbulance! ❤️🚑
From a casual conversation about my career, to attending CPR awareness sessions, community roadshows and now joining NWAS!
A lovely reminder of the impact community engagement can have. Proud to have played a small part in their journey! ❤️
🚑❤️ Fantastic to see so many students getting hands-on with CPR for the #CarsForCollege event today at Kendal College!
Our NWAS CPR Trainer @Kerrysr1 & Eric a Community First Responder (CFR), joined @Cumbriapolice, PFCC David Allen, @CumbriaFire and @WandFCouncil to raise awareness of lifesaving skills and road safety. 🚒🚑🚓
Great to see this partnership featured ❤️🚑
Another 24/7 public access defibrillator for our community, forming part of a wider programme to increase access to community public-access defibrillators in areas where there is a demonstrated need.
As Cardiac Arrest Project Lead, I’m using cardiac arrest, public health & defibrillator coverage data to target where improved access can make the greatest difference, helping reduce inequalities & strengthen the chain of survival.

Great partnership working with @SellafieldLtd SiX, BEC, @NWAmbulance & @NWAmbCharity ❤️
Encouraging first weeks as Cardiac Arrest Project Lead 🚑❤️
Across the @NWAmbulance footprint, the emergency readiness of community defibrillators is improving: more defibrillators are registered, and fewer are unavailable, including those in schools.
However, there’s still work to do, and we need your help!

What a community effort!
A charity event held at Silloth Bowling Club yesterday, raised £841 for Silloth First Responders team, and the bowling club generously rounded it up to £1,000!
Well done to everyone involved, this work is helping keep local defibrillators ready when they’re needed most. ❤️
💚 Delighted to support the Parish of Natland, Cumbria, with a new 24/7 accessible CPAD.
❤️ Now installed & rescue ready

💚 Collaboration at its best!
When Maggie from Arnside and Arnside Knott WI approached me, I was delighted to support their collaboration with the Village Hall to install a new 24/7 public-access defibrillator.
Bringing together our WI CPR awareness sessions, Village Halls work and improved defibrillator access is a great example of how community partnerships can strengthen the chain of survival. ❤️
Always love being sent the photos on installation day! 📸
Well done to everyone involved 👏💚
One MASSIVE takeaway from #ESS2026 👇
If every defibrillator registered on The Circuit was accessible 24/7, communities could gain an incredible 10 MILLION additional hours of defibrillator cover every single week.
Every defib has the potential to save a life ❤️
