17% of women 60+ had increasing breast density over 10 years — not decreasing. HRT, family history, later menopause all played a role. Density stays dynamic, and so should screening conversations. Read more in this week's Research Roundup. ow.ly/xvIw50ZkN6g

It was great to talk to @ianhanomansing about using AI for breast screening ! The next question is what do patients think about it 🤔

Informed consent has been conflated with talking about risk alone. It’s talking benefit and risk INCLUDING the risk of refusal.

September is prostate cancer awareness month. Prostate cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among men in Canada. Men are waiting too long for prostate biopsies. We need to advocate for better access to medical imaging, ensuring timely care and better outcomes.
Did you know? There’s a new test that can help doctors choose the right treatment for people with metastatic prostate cancer, all with just a sample of blood. 🩸 Meet Dr Alexander Wyatt. 👋 With our support, he’s co-leading a team to develop and assess an innovative test that detects small fragments of genetic material from tumours in the bloodstream. The test results can then be used to find the right treatment for advanced prostate cancer. Want to know more about this test and its impact on the cancer community? Read our blog today: bit.ly/3XFOhuG #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth

The demands on radiologists has increased—more studies, more images, and greater complexity, all while facing staffing shortages. Radiologists are burnt out. Embracing AI in MI could be the key to easing these pressures, while improving patient outcomes. Do you agree?

Thank you @LailaGoodridge for being part of the solution for breast screening. You are a woman all Canadian women want representing them. You will save lives… 🙏
Common-sense @CPC_HQ are urging the Minister of Health to reconsider the @cantaskforce recommendation to exclude women in their 40s from #breastcancer screening. This is a crucial step forward in the fight for early detection, because we know early detection saves lives.
