You’ve probably been ten variations deep in a Claude Code session, every version still looks like every other AI build on the internet. You can sense something's off, but you might have a hard time getting to the right answer. Seeing what's off, knowing why, and fixing it. That IS the secret sauce. So for the first and only time this year, Shift Nudge is open for enrollment. I’ve spent all year heads down building for exactly this moment. If you don't know me. Hello, my name is Matt. Two decades designing interfaces and I still don't know a single designer that started off really good including myself. The foundation os Shift Nudge is interface design. Typography, layout, color, organized into 16 principles you can actually learn. Over 5,000 designers have gone through it and their reviews are public on the site. This year I took those same 16 principles and built Shift Nudge AI MCP tool. Hand it your screen and it critiques your design work against that exact system. I run my own work through it and it still catches things I miss. 🚀 Also... BRAND NEW Claude Code training for designers. Everything you need to know to get up to speed FAST building and shipping really beautiful web and iOS apps. Plus a portfolio workshop series with hiring managers and what they look for, over a thousand recorded critique videos, the community, and the VIP route if you want directly we me on your work each week. Take 60 days, put in the work, and if you don't see improvement, you don’t pay. (See terms for details.) Visit shiftnudge.com and ask the new AI Advisor about anything.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Saw this post from Telegram's CEO today (paraphrased) --- ✨ Designers × AI The mockup era is over. Today’s AI tools give every designer a superpower: you can now craft your ideas, not just draw them. The gap between “what if…?” and “look, it works!” has never been smaller, and that changed how we build features in Telegram. ✔️ We accept – Working, ready-to-implement code complemented by – A demo video of your feature in action 🗑 We no longer accept – Static mockups – Demo videos with no code behind them – Text-only concepts No coding background? Curiosity, attention to detail and a good prompt will take you far. The future of design isn’t drawn – it’s built. 🚀 Let's build it together! (An example of what is possible by our iOS designer – this is a ready to use implementation not a motion video.) 👇

my goodness what a specimen video 🔥
Paper Mono! sooo excited to finally release our free and beautiful mono font it works incredibly well for design, coding, and even prose, and it’s packed with features: variable font weight, coding ligatures, duospacing (!) for long-form text, and more. sound on:

i got a graphic design degree and do mostly product design strokes for folks and all that jazz
The one hill I will die on. If you want to be a product designer, don't get a graphic design degree. Get an industrial design degree. Shared roots, but they have fundamentally different outcomes.
