This Saturday’s game brings an end to one of the most thrilling, exciting and unpredictable title races in football history. Both ourselves and Rochdale have the chance to write our names in National League history.
The National League is no longer a non-league competition. It is effectively a League 3, with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2.
We both understand how important this game is to both clubs and supporters. We both pledge now that whatever happens tomorrow, we will both continue to fight for 3UP.
Both clubs sit on over 100 points. One of us will have to fight once more in the National League Play-Offs. However, we both strongly believe that this shouldn’t have to be the case.
We call on the National League, Football Regulator, EFL and Premier League to come together immediately and resolve this issue, so that we do not have to highlight this injustice year after year.
For both sets of supporters attending the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, we say thank you for being with us all season. The passion you’ve shown for both clubs has been felt across the world. This game will be seen far and wide. We want to showcase this league for all its potential. Keep your support in the stands, not on the pitch, and let’s all protect the game we love.

AN ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS WALK TAKING IN ROCHDALE’S STUNNING STREET ART AND MURAL TRAIL
If you're looking to blow away the cobwebs over Christmas, how about an alternative festive walk taking in some genuinely world class street art (and maybe a pub or two, too).
Paris, Berlin, London, Lisbon… and now Rochdale, which, thanks to this year's Common Walls Festival, has a wealth of stunning graffiti and street art, and it's all on our doorstep.
Rochdale-born artist AYLO curated the work from a host of renowned street artists from all around the world - including Insane 51, Smug One, ONUR, EPOD and Seca One, their work adorning walls across the town centre.
You can head out on the trail from the tram stop, taking in the 10 sites, with work around themes of climate change, music, immigration, the textile industry, suffrage and even Rochdale’s most famous daughter - the singer Gracie Fields.
It’s stunning - and just 20 minutes on the tram from Victoria.

Earlier this year, Afghan asylum seeker Enamullah O. attacked a group of toddlers in a German park. One of the toddlers and a man who tried to protect them died of their wounds. Three others were also stabbed.
Even though it was shown in court that Enamullah had attacked a woman with a knife months before and that he specifically searched for “motivating combat music” minutes before attacking the toddlers, today Enamullah has been declared not criminally responsible for the attack and will be ‘treated’ in a psychiatric hospital.
Presiding judge Karsten Krebs announced the decision at the Aschaffenburg Regional Court, stating that the killer's “mental illness rendered him incapable of understanding the nature of his actions at the time of the crime”.
Without remigration of hostile invaders and replacement of anti-white judges and politicians, this nightmare will become our daily reality.
