For well over a decade, I've watched small law firms get sold mediocre marketing by vendors who didn't understand them, didn't care about their outcomes, and moved on when results didn't materialize. That gap is exactly why Juris Digital exists. Today, I'm proud to announce we've acquired JurisPage from Uptime Legal. This is our second acquisition. Blackfin Marketing in 2020 nearly doubled our growth. JurisPage takes us further, in a different direction. JurisPage will power our Launchpad offer, giving smaller firms a real path to being found online, not just a template with no strategy behind it. For the larger firms focused on building legacies and dominating their markets, Juris Digital continues to be the long-term growth partner they can count on. There's no shortage of legal marketing out there. There is a serious shortage of great options. We're fixing that. And here's what matters about how we operate: we funded this ourselves. No private equity. No outside investors. No board with misaligned incentives. We are 100% owner-operated, and that's not changing. 2026 is already moving fast. We've launched our own proprietary software giving clients access to the most advanced technology for SEO, GEO, and brand building. We're the only StoryBrand-certified legal marketing agency in the country. And there are more announcements coming. My passion has always been helping great law firms get found, grow, and win. This acquisition is one more step toward making that possible at every level, from the firm just starting out to the one ready to own their market. We're here to stay. And we're just getting warmed up. Check out our new site with many more improvements coming this week at JurisPage.com

I can't stop thinking that making anything we desire without sacrifice or struggle will be bad for us.

Nice case study of where users click when AI overviews are present: • Traditional: 51% • AI Citation: 15% • AI Overview: 11% • Other: 23% Honestly surprised so many users gravitate to the first AI citation 😯 (legal query, desktop) jurisdigital.com/research/cl… via @MChuckGreen
The SEOs have spoken, and it's not even close Ranking #1 in traditional results remains the most preferred placement

This got me wondering...where do people actually click? So I ran a click test based on @CyrusShepard's question. The results: 📈51% of people clicked a traditional organic result 📉45% of people clicked somewhere within the AI layer first More 👉jurisdigital.com/research/cl…
You can only pick one. What do you choose? 1) Ranking #1 in traditional results 2) First citation in AI Overview 3) Brand/website included in AI answer

It's a strange time to do SEO Many "best practices" no longer work like they once did, and new tactics around AI optimization can be hard to implement or have questionable longevity/ROI At the end of the day, it's important to remember that these systems are designed to reflect the real world (as imperfect as they are) So in times of uncertainty, your best tactic is to go back to marketing basics: make noise, solve real user problems, create assets, and create positive real-world attention Do *real shit* or whatever SEO tactic you employ may ultimately be rendered obsolete

I think we can hold two ideas: 1. The traffic pie is smaller (for everyone) because AI is eating into it 2. Even still, there's room for improvement to get better results. You can lose traffic despite good content. You can gain traffic with shit. Not everything is absolute.
"Traffic is down for everyone." This can be trumpeted as an excuse for a poorly performing SEO program in 2025. Lots of AI-powered programs I see with a little less traffic than everyone else, but it feels good because publishing volume is up and there's a valid explanation.

Good example of what I published about last week. AI will call your business the best if you call your business the best.

Google is now showing AI map packs for almost 50% of commercial legal queries.

Two reminders (mostly to myself): - Stop comparing yourself to others. - Remove your ego. Life is so much better when you do.
