1/4 I have listened carefully to the Prime Minister’s speech. Sir Keir Starmer is a decent, principled and kind man. But his leadership is not working, and it is with genuine regret that I say so.

3/4 Loyalty matters. Loyalty to him, to the Party and to each other. But today loyalty lies with our elected members across the country and with the 1,500 who lost their seats last week. It does not lie in maintaining a course that is not commanding confidence.

4/4. What the Party needs now is leadership with a credible vision for the country, a clear sense of direction, purpose and ambition. Those skills exist within our ranks, and I am confident we can find a leader who has them.

No @markjenk I'm not. Payroll have been instructed to stop all allowances following my election to parliament. I assume this is what you did with your council allowance when you were elected in 2019.

It was five years ago today that the Tories promised to scrap ‘no-fault’ section 21 evictions. Now the government is proposing to amend its own Renters Reform Bill to further delay the implementation of the ban. Labour will abolish section 21 immediately. No ifs, no buts. – at London, England

#HolocaustMemorialDay – at East, England
Today we remember the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, and those in genocides since. Hearing the powerful stories of Holocaust and Srebrenica survivors is as humbling as it is heartbreaking. They serve as an important reminder of the fragility of freedom.

Police numbers - the tories are currently having a drive to convince the public that they have ramped up police spending and increased the numbers of Bobbie’s on the beat. Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth. fullfact.org/crime/police-nu…
