1. INVESTMENTS - ₹22,177 CRORE
September 18, 2026
Andhra Pradesh's State Investment Promotion Board approved 28 projects worth ₹22,177.84 crore, with a projected employment potential of 19,739 jobs.
The proposals span energy, IT and communications, food processing, manufacturing and tourism.
The next milestone is turning these approvals into operational projects and actual employment.
Andhra Pradesh signed 31 MoUs worth ₹21,498 crore at the CII Regional Conference in Visakhapatnam.
The proposals have the potential to generate 56,945 jobs.
The conference forms part of preparations for the 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026.
The next challenge: converting investment commitments into operational projects and actual employment ✌️
2. DSC-2026 - 2,721 TEACHER POSTS
October 13, 2026
A major update for teacher-job aspirants!
Andhra Pradesh issued the short notification for APTRT–2026 (DSC-2026), announcing 2,721 tentative teacher vacancies.
Breakdown:
- 2,111 posts in government and local-body schools
- 350 special-education posts
- 260 posts in residential educational institutions
The detailed notification is expected to provide eligibility requirements, application dates and the examination schedule.
3. APPSC - GOVERNMENT RECRUITMENT
September 15 – October 15, 2026
APPSC recruitment notifications remain important for government-job aspirants across Andhra Pradesh.

The scheme supports eligible senior citizens, widows, persons with disabilities and other beneficiary groups.
Timely pension distribution is essential for household financial security, particularly among vulnerable families.
6. AGRICULTURE - DROUGHT RESPONSE
September 30, 2026
Andhra Pradesh declared 388 mandals across 21 districts drought-affected for the 2026 Kharif season.
The classification included:
- 283 severely affected mandals
- 105 moderately affected mandals
The decision followed deficient monsoon rainfall, with Rayalaseema among the hardest-hit regions.
Protective irrigation, crop planning, drinking-water supply and support for affected farmers are critical priorities.
7. LIFT IRRIGATION - SUPPORT FOR FARMERS
September 18–19, 2026
The state prioritised restoration and modernisation of 14 lift-irrigation schemes in Srikakulam district.
Key figures:
- ₹8.65 crore sanctioned for restoration and modernisation
- 18,220 acres of ayacut targeted
- More than 15,000 farmers expected to benefit
The work includes pipeline repairs, expansion of irrigated areas and equipment upgrades.
Reliable irrigation infrastructure can reduce farmers' dependence on uncertain rainfall.
