I love this!
The “Sistahs to the Summit,” made up of 14 Black American women, is now one of the largest groups ever to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
First on #CBSMornings, the women share how their journey began — and how they celebrated when they reached the summit.

It’s also really expensive to host. Many people are barely getting by feeding their family alone.
Purchasing enough food to feed 2+ families is not something most people can afford these days.

🏝 Maui Fire Relief 🧵– my family has been gathering donations for victims of the Maui fires & the outpouring from the Bay Area has been inspiring & overwhelming.
My house has turned into a makeshift donation center, as we sort & package up baby formula, diapers, breast pumps, clothing & more.
Pics below are a tiny fraction of what's been donated thus far. We have literal truckloads more going to Maui via special relief charter flights to be distributed on island – including some very generous donations from companies and individuals.
ℹ️ How you can help – please consider donating to these vetted charities, who are doing great work on the ground.
Maui Strong Foundation – hawaiicommunityfoundation.or…
Maui Food Bank – mauifoodbank.org/
Maui United Way – mauiunitedway.org/disasterre…
American Red Cross – redcross.org/about-us/news-a…
This is already the deadliest US wildfire in over 100 years, and unfortunately the news I'm hearing from folks on the ground is quite grim. A huge percentage of those affected were also among the poorest residents of Maui.
Thankfully, a lot of people are stepping up to help, and I encourage you to please consider doing the same. 🙏
