I got a minor wound yesterday when one of Rev Richard Cole’s books leapt from a shelf in a bookshop & attacked me. Was it making a bid for freedom and I just got in the way? Or was it offended that I was preferring to take a look at the Mick Herron book that it had been next to?

I’ve inevitably reached that point in my latest book project where the inner voices are screaming, “What’s the point ? Nobody cares whether you do this anyway, and they certainly won’t be interested when you finish it.” Which is nice. 😕

On any morning when I place four Weetabix into two bowls, I worry about separating each of the biscuits from the immediate companion that they have spent all that time next to in the packet. I suspect that this might qualify as odd behaviour.

A catalogue fell out of the newspaper this afternoon. I’m not one to denigrate anyone else’s design choices… but would anyone really want a cushion that looks as if you’re sitting on a great big pie…? 🤔

Three adverts in one commercial break extolling the dubious virtues of their AI services… All of these companies have yet to re-edit their promos to ensure that the furious clementine doesn’t consider them to be the enemy…! 😂

I forget sometimes how much effort went into doing this piece of nonsense 😂
