This is the first in a series of Blue Plaques to celebrate black artists in Greater Manchester. The first is for Denise Johnson with a gathering to mark the special occasion at @bandonthewall from 3pm today. We might see some of you there.

Lucky to have a job with brilliant colleagues that allows us to creatively engage with research through music & sound, as part of our 'Intangible Sounds' programming with @mcrhistfest 2024. We had a brilliant day & evening on Saturday. *borrowed photo from Kirsty's Linkedin 1/2
Fortunate to share a panel with fabulous colleagues talking about alternative voices, narratives, archives and histories [@DIYarchivist @ProfKFairclough @KatieMilestone Maria Ruban, John Lloyd] with the wisdom of @KarenGabay 2/2
What a day topped off by an amazing evening at Dark Mass! Thanks to everyone for making it brilliant. Research as performance is the best fun. More debriefing to follow. For now a few photos.
