Ramadan Mubarak 🌙
As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, the Muslim American Leadership Alliance (MALA) extends our warmest wishes to our community and partners across the country and around the world.
Ramadan is a sacred time of reflection, renewal, and discipline — a month that calls us inward to refine our character and outward to strengthen our service. It is a reminder that faith is not only practiced in devotion, but in how we show up for one another: with dignity, integrity, generosity, and courage.
At MALA, we are guided by the belief that leadership begins with self-awareness and extends into community responsibility. May this Ramadan deepen our commitment to ethical leadership, bridge-building, and meaningful engagement across traditions and backgrounds.
In a time when the world often feels fragmented, Ramadan invites us to pause, recalibrate, and recommit to the work of justice, compassion, and shared humanity.
May this month bring you clarity, steadiness, and renewal.
May your fasting be accepted, your prayers answered, and your service magnified. 🙏
Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans whose courage illuminated one of our nation’s darkest days.
We remember the families who continue to carry an unimaginable absence. We remember the bravery, sacrifice, and profound unity that emerged in the face of tragedy.
May we honor their memory by protecting the bonds that hold us together as Americans and by choosing courage, compassion, and service to one another.
We will never forget.
— Muslim American Leadership Alliance
This Labor Day, the Muslim American Leadership Alliance honors the people whose skill, service, and determination move our country forward. From classrooms and clinics to small businesses and skilled trades, their work strengthens our communities and sustains the promise of America. We celebrate every worker who contributes to our nation’s progress—and the dignity, opportunity, and shared purpose that meaningful work represents. Happy Labor Day from MALA.

Today on Capitol Hill, MALA attended a roundtable on Azerbaijan's model of religious diversity, exploring how a secular, Muslim-majority nation fosters peaceful coexistence among Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities.
These conversations on interfaith cooperation and pluralism are vital to advancing religious freedom and mutual respect.

It was an honor to meet today with Mr. Micah Rea, Director of Faith Based Initiatives at the @CommerceGov
Our conversation highlighted the vital contributions of Muslim Americans to the fabric of our nation. As one of the most educated, entrepreneurial, and civically engaged faith communities in the United States, Muslim Americans continue to embody the enduring promise of the American Dream—where hard work, innovation, and opportunity can create pathways to success for future generations.
We appreciated the opportunity to share insights from MALA’s recent national polling with @RaineyCenter and discuss the importance of ensuring that Muslim American voices, experiences, and contributions are recognized within our broader national story.
Thank you, @TheMicahRea, for your time, leadership, and commitment to fostering meaningful engagement across America’s diverse faith communities.
