Eleven straight nights of U.S. strikes on Iran, and the deal meant to end this is dead. In @RCDefense, Dr. Michael Schwartz and I argue the next agreement has to be built to be enforced and aimed at the regime's money and military, not the Iranian people. realcleardefense.com/article…

I’m telling you right now. There is nothing like the energy of West Point on a college football game day. I’m honored to be a graduate and surrounded by tremendous people. We grew up here and lost friends we went to college with. It’s incredibly important as a graduate you go back and support your Alma Mater. Recognize and honor your friends who died. Even if you have something with the institution and have an obstacle with the way things went down during your time as cadet, you should go back. I’ve always had my troubles and bad memories. But the good out-way the bad to the nth degree. The positivity, good mindset and classmates/friends and where you are in life is in part because of the greatest Military Academy in the world. Don’t forget that. Keep pushing.
Also, new Michie stands are sick. 10/10

West Point welcomed Medal of Honor recipients Patrick Brady, Kenneth David, Walter “Joe” Marm Jr. and Terry Richardson as part of the Valor Tour. The four Army veterans of the Vietnam War engaged with cadets and shared lessons in leadership shaped by their service.
They also joined the West Point community to welcome the Steel Across America National Tour, carrying a piece of World Trade Center steel across the country to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
A reminder of generations who have answered the call to serve—and the next generation preparing to carry that legacy forward.
This is what leadership looks like in the fog of the current college athletics landscape. It starts with structure, is transparent, and tied to an academic mission and higher purpose. Proud @TT_Army_AD is our AD.
In this era of college athletics, how you are structured matters.
The AWPAA allows us to move with purpose, generate resources, invest in our cadet-athletes, and adapt to a rapidly changing landscape / while remaining firmly aligned with the mission of the Academy.
Understanding how we operate is important to understanding where we are going.

Iran's missile math in 30 seconds. 10,000 to start.
90% degraded. ~1,000 left.
They can't fire at scale anymore.
But the one or two getting through?
They killed two Americans in Jordan Friday night.
Degraded is not destroyed.
Iran can no longer strike at scale. No more hundreds of missiles. No more mass drone barrages.
But here is what they still have:
→ Coastal batteries within 10-15 miles of every ship in the Strait
→ One-off drone and missile capability
→ Proximity that makes interception nearly impossible.
The blockade is back. 600+ strikes in 6 days. Every Iranian missile has a return address.
The race now is whether the US can take out enough of Iran's coastal capabilities to force Iran back to the table.

Iran still wants to control the Strait. Qatar just released $6B in frozen funds, likely on the way to Hezbollah. Cyberattacks against Israel tripled in June; no ceasefire in cyberspace. Iran has no intention of complying with a single term of this MOU. Yesterday on @NEWSMAX

The Iran war is winding down. The vulnerability it exposed is not. A $20K drone helped down a $30M Apache over Hormuz, and we still answer cheap drones with million-dollar missiles.
