If I "like" your pitch, please feel free to DM me with a link to the pitch and I'll send you a query link.

I've been asked for feedback on queries passes several times today. There's a lot of resources online explaining why agents aren't able to provide that. It sucks, and I hate it, but with thousands of queries, that's weeks of unpaid work when I need to be prioritizing clients.

can't believe I had to come back to this hellsite just to shout—this is NOT ME!!!! This is a scam!!!!! In 2008 (the creation date) I was barely ten. I don't work for ArtHouse, given it doesn't exist anymore.

Please continue to report. This isn't Miriam. They aren't on Twitter! This is the same account that was pretending to be @clgslr (which is her actual handle).

Hi all! This is not Carleen's real account. Her real account is @clgslr (this impersonator has added an l). Do not follow, do not engage, and please consider reporting for impersonation! Thank you!

As a reminder, I'm open for the next 5 days! In particular, I'm on the hunt for picture books and a middle grade fantasy that I can't put down!! ✨Also, any NA college sports romances out there, send them to me! 👀

When authors tell me they have an offer of representation, my tendency is to believe them. It's frustrating to find that trust taken advantage of.

I know that querying is difficult—impossibly so, at times—and I don't take that lightly. Authors work so hard. And, you're entering into a business relationship. I don't recommend starting that relationship with a lie, even a small one.

Horror.

If people are fighting for an orb you are reading fantasy. If people are fighting for a cube you are reading sci-fi. If it has more sides than that. I dont know. I dont know man.

The first book in Mattea Orr's historical mystery series, THE LAST TELEGRAM OF MRS. HUDSON, comes out September 3 from @HoZ_Books, and you can preorder it NOW at most major retailers! Isn't that cover stunning? 🤩

Pro tip: if you're not binging four episodes of Bridgerton at a time, do NOT watch 5 & 6 separate from 7 & 8. Do NOT watch episode 6 and then think you'll be okay to go to bed, even if you know what's about to happen. ASK ME HOW I KNOW. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 (no spoilers please </3)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to open to queries March 1-March 7 as scheduled. I have too many unanswered, and I want to give those authors the time they deserve. I'm hoping to return to my first-week-of-the-month opening schedule this April!

I regularly ask myself if I have a moral obligation to stop being a figure skating fan. Today, I lean closer than ever to "yes." What an absolute disaster.
