Injective's IIP-709 upgrade is now live, introducing fixed, predictable gas fees for supported activities, including RWA activity and perpetual futures trades. Why should users care? When transaction costs are easier to estimate, traders and applications can plan around them with less uncertainty. But remember, gas fees aren't the only cost involved in trading. Spreads, trading fees and slippage can still affect your final result. The real goal isn't just cheaper transactions. It's making onchain finance easier to use and understand. One thing about stablecoins that people often overlook in Web3 👀 Having USDC on one chain doesn't automatically mean you have it on another. You need a route to move it across networks, and that's where cross-chain infrastructure comes in. @injective just added a new USDC route through @lifiprotocol and @jumperapp. The interesting part isn't just moving tokens. It's making it easier for liquidity to move between ecosystems without users having to figure everything out manually. Still, always confirm the destination network, token and fees before completing a transfer. Cross-chain UX gets better when moving assets becomes simpler, not when users stop paying attention. A blockchain can generate revenue and still be overvalued. That’s why I find @injective revenue-to-FDV ratio worth understanding. FDV estimates a token’s valuation if its full assumed supply were in circulation. Comparing revenue with FDV gives us another way to examine network activity relative to valuation. But here’s the important part: a high ratio alone doesn’t prove a token is undervalued. You still need to examine how revenue is calculated, whether it’s sustainable, token supply, and how the network captures value. Metrics are useful. Understanding what they actually measure is even more useful. That’s how I’m learning Injective, one concept at a time. 🧵
