There not only needs to be an intense investigation into the alleged crime itself, but also into whether any administrators interfered with, concealed, destroyed, or failed to preserve relevant evidence. #TompkinsCountyDA @Cornell Prosecutors should subpoena the disciplinary hearing transcripts, the underlying records, and yes, those frickin’ essays. And whoever decided that writing essays was an appropriate remedy in a matter this serious needs to be examined too, including whether anyone’s actions crossed the line into obstruction or evidence suppression. There’s a lot that needs to be investigated here.

Important thing to note, and a grey area in this case no matter what way you approach this fact pattern - "Blunt force trauma" tells us there was an impact (not from a sharp object is all it means). It doesn’t tell us who or what caused it, whether it was accidental, or whether it had anything to do with Nolan’s death.

I gotta say something when I hear some BS. What this lady is doing is advocacy, not a fair representation of the medical findings. You don't need water in the lungs or stomach to drown. Their own pathologist didn't rule out drowning. He left cause and manner undetermined because he couldn't certify drowning with enough certainty, even after eliminating the other identifiable fatal causes. And all this 'blunt force trauma' (please look up what that means) talk is the same thing. That could mean a fall, hitting part of a boat, hitting something in the water, roughhousing, or yes, someone hitting him. The injury itself doesn't tell us which one happened, but could... Frankly, if there was some non-accidental cause to Nolan's death, all this noise is making it harder to get there through actual evidence. Don't piss off or discourage the investigators... We still don't know how Nolan got into the water that last time or why he couldn't get out. Nothing from Crump's team, the sheriff, or the DA has answered that. I would've thought the strategy would be to get anyone who actually knows something to come forward and let the evidence take us where it goes. Instead, they keep feeding suspicion with isolated facts that don't establish criminal conduct, given the totality of the evidence presented. I don't know, man. Prayers to this kid's family. I just wish they had advocacy that helped the investigation instead of turning it into a damn show. You can't solve a death investigation with a circus.

This is absolutely nuts. Tax dollars going to this is absurd and unAmerican.
