"No Hate in Washington State" put out an absolutely vile, unethical ad against I-001. There is no low they won't sink to. I've never seen anything like it, even among notoriously dishonest PACS. Be very leery of anything they put out.

OH MY GOD. The head of Washington's public school system just said it's NOT unfair for the Camas girls to have to race against a boy because "their brains aren't fully developed." HUH? This is the same guy who thinks kids should be able to chop their genitals off. SCREW YOU CHRIS REYKDAL.

On October 13, over 12 girls from the Camas cross country team walked off the field in protest of being forced to run against a boy. The night before, five seniors quit the team, including three team captains. Other girls showed up for the race out of uniform and refused to step up to the starting line. These girls showed immense courage, integrity, and solidarity. While I’m so proud of these girls, they should never have been put in a position to become student activists to protect girls’ sports. Adults should have intervened before this ever became an issue. Parents tell me these girls wanted their message seen and their voices heard, but they don’t want to keep doing this. I want these girls to know we’ve heard their voices, received their message, and now adults are taking responsibility for what happens next. On Wednesday, Oct. 21, we will be returning to Camas to hold a rally of support and solidarity for our girls. Courage calls to courage, and the community has heard the call of Camas Courage from these brave girls. As the years have gone by, the issue of boys in girls’ sports has become more and more contentious. There is something WA State adults can do to stop this right now and protect girls’ sports now and forever: vote YES on 638 Fairness in Girls Sports to ensure that girls’ sports remain single-sex. Right now, the rules say any boy can compete in girls' sports simply by declaring a new identity. The rules are unjust and harmful to our daughters. Adults need to know they don't need a permission slip for courage. Now is the time to stand up!

Understand just how broken the media is. A boy runs with the boys and is a boy. The boy decides to “try out” being a girl, according to classmates. He starts running against girls, but doesn’t “transition” or make any other changes. @KUOW IMMEDIATELY refers to him as “she” in NEWS REPORTING.

A student who placed 76th in running on the boys' cross-country team switched to the girls' team and finished 2nd. The girls on the opposing team forfeited. Jake (@jakespikeshow) asks WA Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal a simple question: Is that fair? Reykdal says he doesn't see it that way.

Replying to @chrisreykdal
@chrisreykdal Here we are, months after we met in person, when you sat across from me spewing lies and discrediting the feelings of girls, and now you’re doing the same thing again. You say in this interview that we should have “respect for our colleagues”. First of all, these people aren’t my colleagues. This is not about respect or disrespect. Then, you go on to dump guilt in our laps by saying that there are only 10–15 transgender athletes and then question why we can’t make them feel included. How dare you? It is not my job to make boys and men feel included. I don’t care about their feelings; I care about my own safety and fairness in my sport. Speaking of feelings, the downfall of education and what I see on a daily basis going on in the classrooms is more focused on feelings than truth and education standards which is a big problem. Life isn’t all about feelings. You have come out publicly against I-638, saying it is unnecessary. Thank God we have an initiative process in place in this state that allows people to stand up and use common sense against people like you, who are pushing your own agenda and ideology down the throats of Washingtonians. Coming from a 17-year-old, you’re useless. You are doing a disservice to the girls of Washington State by not having the guts to stand up for us. I also find it interesting that you say our brains are not fully developed until we are 25, yet you have come out against Initiative 001 and are in favor of minors being able to change their gender, be called a different name, and pursue “gender-affirming care” without their parents’ knowledge. I am not a state superintendent, and, for that matter, I haven’t even graduated high school. Yet, I have enough common sense to know that hiding information like that from parents is terribly wrong. But let’s stick to I-638. As an adult with a fully developed brain, you should use it to stand up for us girls who are crying out for help and simply asking to be protected in our own category and locker rooms. You are a true embarrassment. Thank you for showing the people of this state who you really are, especially the girls who are suffering because of your lack of awareness about what is happening right within our state. Your daughter, whom you like to bring up, and who you claim was an athlete herself, should be ashamed of her own father for not protecting girls. It makes me sick to think that you are hanging this dark cloud of guilt over the young girls in this state who are fighting for something that truly matters and are simply asking for safety in their locker rooms and fairness in their sports. I had an 18-year-old man in my locker room when I was 15. What, in your right mind, makes you think it is okay for me and other girls to have to potentially see a penis in our locker rooms? Again, what kind of person thinks it is okay for someone to see a penis in a girls’ locker room-perversion comes to mind. You sit there and lie, making people afraid by spreading misinformation about the initiative. You claim that it requires an invasive genital exam to confirm someone’s sex. That is absolutely wrong. What is truly happening, however, is that girls are being forced to enter such vulnerable spaces and risk seeing male genitals without their consent, or to compete against males on their girls’ teams. Lastly, speaking of respect, I have absolutely none for you. You have done nothing to support the truth; instead, you continue to go against it. You danced around the truth in April when we met, and you continue to do so now. If I were old enough to vote—and trust me, I wish I were—I would be the first one to try to vote you out of office. Because you have done nothing, I will continue to ask @GovBobFerguson for a face-to-face meeting. However, I doubt that will happen because, unfortunately, he shares the same crooked ideology as you. In closing, I want to encourage people to vote YES on I-638 to protect girls’ sports! -Frances Staudt

This happened in States everywhere across the USA.
That time in 2021 that I paid $10,000 for a GRAMA request because I knew Spencer Cox and state education officials were using COVID relief funds to implement a DEI and LGBTQ agenda in Utah schools. As an angry and concerned mom watching the mandates and the sudden flood of federal money, I suspected the pandemic was being treated as cover for preferred-pronoun policies, anti-racism training, equity offices, and identity-focused curriculum that parents never voted for. Once the records arrived, the steep price made sense; they showed exactly how the recovery dollars and the post-Floyd moment were leveraged to lock those practices in. ESSER stands for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief fund. These were the main federal COVID relief packages for K-12 schools: the first round under the 2020 CARES Act, a second under the CRRSA Act, and the largest under the 2021 American Rescue Plan (ARP ESSER). The money was intended to address learning loss, improve school ventilation and technology, support student mental health, and cover other pandemic-related costs. Utah received more than $873 million in total ESSER funding across the three rounds; roughly $62 million in ESSER I, $250 million in ESSER II, and $562 million in ARP ESSER with the bulk distributed to local districts and charters based on Title I formulas. The records I obtained showed that while the funds were labeled for COVID recovery, state and local officials used portions of them to build equity infrastructure, stand up culturally responsive training, and advance related DEI initiatives, exactly the shift I had suspected when I filed the request. The pages detailed how the Utah State Board of Education planned to distribute ARP ESSER funds, 90 percent based on Title I allocations, with required Maintenance of Equity assurances while embedding equity structures throughout the recovery. An internal Culturally Responsive and Equitable Workplace Steering Committee was created. Quarterly Equity Leader Meetings, Equity Labs, and ongoing technical assistance to districts were listed as standing mechanisms. Committee notes recorded Chair Benally-Sagg stating that the governor supported the racial-equity and inclusivity training and wanted members to know the governor’s office backed it. The same records captured return-to-school discussions that treated the pandemic, economic fallout, and post-George Floyd racial unrest as simultaneous crises, with officials describing the need for leaders to examine their own implicit bias before schools could become “anti-racist” or “culturally responsive.” “Best practices” materials treated preferred names, pronouns, gender-inclusive forms, bathrooms, locker rooms, flags, and stickers as standard markers of support. Taken together, the documents show COVID recovery funds being used to institutionalize these practices inside Utah’s education system, with explicit state-level support noted from the governor’s office.

M4L Aware is starting to expose bad policy in droves. These specific polices below are adopted from NEOLA drafts. Many districts have a contract with NEOLA and blindly adopt their bad recommendations. Why is this policy bad? Here's a story: When I was on the school board I visited my schools quarterly at a minimum to listen to staff and teachers. At Some schools they'd share openly. At one school, a teacher slipped me a note that said "it's not safe for me to talk here, please email me for details" That told me all I needed to know about the leadership at that school. School board members must have access to schools, teachers and staff. Transparency makes better government, systems and schools.

Parents know their children best. They deserve access to the curriculum, school libraries, and what their children are being taught. Thank you, Governor Abbott, for bringing that message to the Moms for Liberty National Summit today and for sharing your passion for parental rights! 🇺🇸 #m4lsummit26 #moms4liberty #bootsontheground

🚨SCHOOL BOARDS ON NOTICE. Our boots are already on the ground. AWARE takes our fight for parental rights to a whole new level. As Moms for Liberty CEO and Co-Founder Tina Descovich explained, AWARE helps identify districts supporting parental rights and choosing strong curricula—and those that aren’t. Chapters are already digging into school board agendas and finding plenty to celebrate, and plenty that demands action. Now we need more parents on the ground, ready to show up where it matters. WE WEREN’T IMAGINING IT. For years, parents were told they were overreacting. Now we know the FBI investigated a mother after a tip specifically noted that she was a gun owner and a member of a “right-wing mom’s group” — Moms for Liberty. Moms for Liberty Co-Founder and CEO Tina Descovich told Fox News: “Parents were afraid to show up. They were afraid to lose their jobs. They were members of our organization, sometimes privately and silently standing with us, but too afraid to speak out because of what our government did in the United States of America. We need to not forget where we were in 2021 as we go into these midterm elections." We cannot forget where we were in 2021, or what it took for parents to keep standing up and speaking out. Dozens of Washington state school districts are giving students a survey that asks questions like "Who are you attracted to?" The answers are used to determine whether your child should meet one-on-one with an "interventionist." At one school, that "interventionist" is a guy with a history of posting sexually graphic, violent, and demeaning images of women on his social media. The program is a breeding ground for predation, @Forest_Romm argues.
