I rarely ever make statements about the scene, but with the current nonsense, some people need a reality check. Seeing all these hate posts, man the amount of brown nosed fake people in the scene is baffling. The players did their best given the tools and knowledge they had at the time. And the staff meltdowns... that's just sad, and shows how unqualified many of the people who brown nosed their way up is. I never took credit for drafts or success that wasn't mine, never bragged that I was superior, because as staff in the scene, it's not a competition of who's better, it's about facilitating the players.
The amount of times I've seen staff yelling at players, belittling them, making outrageous comparisons, or generally talking down to players is baffling. I'm glad I didn't pursue further because there's way too many people trying to take credit for things they didn't do. When the best you can offer a team is 1 or 2 useful lines of stats showing publically available info that everyone on the team already has, or presenting outdated information... what a joke. Then they get all butthurt and take to social media to whine and complain about XYZ. The players deserve better.
Seriously think about what you're saying to the players and how all this drama affects the players who are actually trying their best. It only takes 1 person to mess the whole mental of the team up, and it's staffs job to prevent that, but more often now they are the root of it. Then they have the ego to take it public online and play the blame game. It's sad to watch frankly, yall are grown adults, act like it. We're past the point of former players being staff now, but there's so many that can't even identify a lost cause and get blinded by their own ego. Poor judgement calls on so many factors, then they blame the players who listened to them.
Of course there are players who don't listen as well, but I have yet to meet any in tier 2 that don't. Those players cap out in ACL/OQ, and don't make it up the pipeline because they aren't willing to work with others. Obviously I don't personally know every tier 2 player, but I haven't met a single one who doesn't listen yet and if there are any, I'd love to meet them and see how or why they were scouted in the first place. Hate all you want, I'm simply saying what everyone already knows.
The question I had at the start of the split on who I wanted to succeed was NRG or WU. Still don't know how everything is gonna play out, but big congrats to Denathor and amazing job WU for not missing a beat with another great top pick. And NRG will always make it entertaining.
The human heart is like a river viewed from above. You can study its surface and believe you've measured its depth, but certainty never comes until you leap. If you dive expecting an abyss and strike the riverbed instead, the river remains unchanged. You're the one who gets hurt.
The tragedy of arrogance is not its existence, but the readiness with which others mistake it for leadership. The conceited are rarely dangerous alone, they require an audience willing to confuse confidence with competence. To excuse vanity because it occasionally produces results is to mistake dysfunction for virtue.

Lotus was the org that gave me my first opportunity in the amateur (T3/T2) scene as an analyst way back in fall of 2023. After a multitude of different teams, and transitioning from an analyst to a coach, I am happy to announce that I have returned to what I called home. Let's make this an OQ to never forget!
Blooming and ready for OQ, please welcome the newest chapter for Lotus 🪷🌸

Sakura Gaming has been an idea I've had for about a year now, but never officially did anything with it until now. With the partnering of Fisher, Sakura has officially made it to top 8 in upper bracket this OQ! Very proud and happy to be a part of this great team. Wish us luck moving forward, I'll do my best to make those who've supported me along this road proud.
