The team had a blast at the #CommunityAwards2023 celebrating the amazing people who contribute to our town. Thank you @CILuton for hosting- and showcasing the important work we do here at Young Steps. #WeCelebrateTogether
We had an awesome time with our young people at our October Brunch Club. Thank you to all who supported the camp and continue to support the important work we do.

A brilliant first day at Brunch Club! Children embraced their creative side, designing a collaborative piece- as well as burning off some energy playing football. #brunchtime #holidayactivities @CILuton

3great days spent in Condover with our @RaiseUpLuton lads
Such trips are crucial in Luton. They empower the youth, fostering growth and positivity beyond comfort zones. From my own experiences, the lessons from such journeys can often surpass years of classroom mentorship.
Day 2 complete. What a day our young people have had:
Rock climbing and abseiling 🪨🧗
Kayaking 🚣🏾♂️
Archery 🏹🎯
Swimming 🏊🏾♂️
And Spy led by the legendary @sxif01 🕵🏽♂️
We are prepping for the @LutoninBloom Farmers’ Market next week, reflecting on how important it is that young people get outdoors & explore nature. Check out these pictures from our Nature Camp! Come down next week for FREE activities & meet some more of our farmyard friends!
It has been so wonderful to see the positive posts over the last two weeks regarding #ResultsDay . We have read about ‘screams of joy’ and the happiness of families celebrating their children’s exam success. 1/5
This is not to say that education is not important- it is. But it isn’t the MOST important thing. We emphasise on confidence & communication skills. The ability to network & feel like you belong in a space (& not an imposter) is invaluable. This is what truly sets you apart. 4/5
And lastly, we are so proud of all of Luton’s young people. Those with A*s and those who have failed this time around. We can’t wait to see what you all become. #WeEncourage #WeNurture #WeInspire #ALevelResults2023 #GCSEResults2023 5/5
We’ll be running a range of activities for children to connect with nature- stone painting, wind chime making and much more! We’re so excited for our friends at Ark Mobile Farm to join us for more FREE fun for children at the @LutoninBloom Small Farmers’ Market! @CILuton
Exciting announcement! We will be hosting Ark Mobile Farm at our Small Farmers’ Market, Sunday 3rd September 2023. An event for all the family, with an array of stalls selling fresh produce, artisan crafts, hot food and a FREE kids zone hosted by @LutonSteps

We had a fabulous Day 2 at our Nature Camp, painting stones, building forts & making our own mini bird feeders. We also had a special visit from @rach_hopkins. The children were excited to show their designs to her & talk through their ideas. Thank you to Rachel and her team.
It was a pleasure to host @rach_hopkins at our Nature Camp this week. Rachel & the team discussed many of the things impacting our young people and their families- including a lack of adequate and affordable housing.
