I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.

I strongly disagree with President Trump’s decision today to open the door to 300,000 metric tons of foreign beef without the out-of-quota tariff.
You don’t put America First by putting American ranchers second.
Our ranchers have survived drought, skyrocketing input costs, shrinking herds, and years of uncertainty. Now that cattle producers are finally seeing stronger markets, Washington’s answer to high beef prices should not be to flood the market with foreign beef intentionally priced below what American producers receive. Cattle futures dropped sharply following today’s announcement.
I support President Trump, but supporting a president doesn’t mean staying quiet when a policy is wrong. On this issue, he is wrong.
If we want cheaper beef, then let’s rebuild the American cattle herd, strengthen American processing, increase competition, and get government out of the way of the men and women actually raising our food.
North Dakota ranchers don't need Washington manipulating their market. They need Washington to have their backs.
Buy American. Raise American. Eat American beef!

I raise Angus , today’s comments on beef by the Whitehouse show a complete lack of empathy or understanding on the subject. Warning strong language to follow….How in the fuck does importing beef from a foreign source help American ranchers dumb fuck? Anything being done to increase the amount of non FOREIGN owned meat processors ? How about the gift to vets, the VCPR that screwed over mom and pop family farms. Like we don’t have enough crap to do besides paperwork you clusterfucks. We used to be able to give our own vaccines and order them online, saving a vet farm call and markups. Now we have additional costs, headaches and vets that won’t answer emergency calls. If you want to know why beef is so high look no further than your fucking government,,,,,grrrrrrrrr ….
