Since Muchova and Iga both missed at least one WTA mandatory, won’t they both receive 0 point penalties?
Which of the top 8 WTA Finals contenders has the best:
First Serve: Rybakina, Nosková
Second Serve: Rybakina, Sabalenka
Forehand: Rybakina, Pegula
Backhand: Rybakina, Gauff
Movement: Gauff, Svitolina
Variety: Muchová, Andreeva
Mentality: Gauff, Svitolina
Yeah Ukraine will definitely struggle in BJK Cup without Marta because who is their second best player after Elina if Marta isn’t there?
Rybakina’s coaches are/have been Croatian, Italian, and Ukrainian…
I am Croatian, Italian, and Ukrainian.
Svitolina would win a GS if her draw was like this:
R1: Gauff
R2: Gauff
R3: Gauff
R4: Gauff
QF: Gauff
SF: Gauff
F: Gauff
I feel like all the players from post-Soviet countries and/or Iron Curtain countries just have wayyy more determination than some of the US or Western European players. You can tell in this match that Sabalenka has the kill or be killed mentality and Jess doesn’t.
The only players to make multiple SFs at majors this year on the women’s side (all made 2)
🇰🇿 Elena Rybakina (AO, USO)
Aryna Sabalenka (AO, USO)
🇺🇸 Jessica Pegula (AO, USO)
🇺🇸 Coco Gauff (WC, USO)
🇺🇦 Marta Kostyuk (RG, WC)
Svitolina:
5 WTA 1000 titles
WTA Finals win (2018)
Olympic bronze medalist (Tokyo 2020)
Career-high no. 3 (entered in 2017, stayed until 2021, re-entered in 2026)
20 total titles
4 GS semifinals
51 top-10 wins (7 against the world No. 1)
Are the WTA girls really going to allow Sabalenka to win another slam after the abysmal season she's had post-Miami?
I genuinely just do not understand Sabalenka fans. Her tennis style is very ugly to watch, she screams at the top of her lungs on every ball, and she's overall just not a nice person.
