We might not have made it to No1, but we did take some wonderful young carers into No10 to remind the Government that carers matter and mustn’t be neglected any longer.

More 24-hour gyms than 24-hour clubs in London. bbc.com/news/articles/cjr255…
Very encouraging that the Government have listened to our calls for more support for the hospice sector.
But unless they scrap the N.I. tax hike on them, most hospices will still really struggle.
We must secure a long-term funding deal for hospices in 2025.

**SES WATER UPDATE as of 8:30pm**
SES now say they hope to restore supplies by lunchtime tomorrow.
They have also said they will open another new bottle station tomorrow morning in Cheam at St Paul’s Church, 15 Northey Avenue, Cheam SM2 7HS.
Glad to see a water collection point open in Cheam finally at Cheam Library, Church Rd, Sutton SM3 8QH.
This will remain open throughout the night for residents to collect water.
Please do share with neighbours, and I will continue to push SES for a permanent fix.
I have been informed by SES this afternoon of a fault at the Cheam Water Treatment Works that is leaving some facing complete loss of water supply.
I am monitoring the situation closely - please see my statement below for information about getting access to bottled water.
**UPDATE AS OF 1:15pm**
SES have just confirmed that a new water station is up and running at West Croft Leisure Centre SM5 2TG.

For years, the Lib Dems have pushed for WASPI women to be fairly compensated in line with the PHSO’s recommendations. The women involved have tirelessly campaigned for justice and deserve our admiration for their persistence, instead, the Government has turned its back on them.
The situation in Sutton and Cheam today is simply not good enough, and deeply distressing for many.
I'm continuing to push SES to resolve the situation quickly - and in the meantime provide bottle stations that are actually *within* Sutton and Cheam.

I have joined with colleagues to sign Sarah Olney's open letter to the Minister for the Constitution and European Union Relations.
We must be able to establish a Youth Mobility Scheme with the EU as we begin rebuilding our broken relationship with our closest neighbour.

Last night the BBC covered the crisis in A&E at St Helier Hospital.
I have had multiple meetings with ministers and the local NHS Trust since the election, with my most recent discussion with the Trust earlier this week.
St Helier Hospital is my number one priority. The fight for better services goes on.
A 🧵 on the shocking news the Met could cut 7% of all officers next year.
The previous government left finances in an utter mess. But let’s be clear - this announcement is also an indictment of the Mayor’s lack of leadership on this issue.

All of this is on top of the fact that the Met has yet to tackle misconduct perpetrated by its own officers, and continues to let down victims of crime - especially victims of stalking.
The Mayor seems to be asking for less and less from this new Government. (4/5)
