Good Friday morning all and I hope you've had a wonderful week. My kids are back in school - - are yours? It's a mixed blessing: I miss 'em, but seem to get a lot more work done. 😀 A few weeks back, we visited Vancouver, which was where our cruise was departing from. While many folks were anxious, waiting for our ship to depart, I was really enjoying the scenery, looking over the Port of Vancouver and all the interesting activities seen all around. In fact, the adjacent sea plane traffic was very busy, and despite watching it for an hour or so - - I couldn't find a whole lot of standard protocols in terms of traffic patterns! But I'm sure the trained pilot's eye can seem them, as they fly in and out every day (or a couple of times a day). DYK: the Port of #Vancouver is Canada's & one of North America's busiest ports. It reportedly handles $1 of every $3 of Canada’s trade in goods outside of North America. A few other Good News items on my radar lately: 👉 Earlier this week, I was able to finally connect with Eric Wilson, an industry dynamo, author, consultant, creator, you name it. His podcast "IBF on Demand" recently celebrated its 100th episode. Folks, that is a tremendous milestone that doesn't come easy! I asked him to reflect on all of that work & conversations for a lesson learned, to which he replied: "it's all about NOT one voice". Eric is passionate about fostering the growth and advancement of #supplychain management, especially in the S&OP/IBP arena. And just like S&OP must include a wide array of voices into the conversation, Eric has taken the same approach to creating content, be it is podcast or his popular book: "Predictive Analytics for Business Forecasting & Planning". Good stuff Eric! 👉 Yesterday we conducted a webinar that included my friend @pauljnoble from @Verusen_AI . Folks, did you know the MRO spend in industry has reached $900 BILLION - - and will hit $1 TRILLION in the next year or two? There are massive opportunities for companies to find by doing MRO different: save capital, lower #inventory, help your teams, and more. Whenever we talk spare parts, I think about my USAF days, where our maintenance teams had to constantly cannibalize parts off dormant aircraft to keep the mission moving forward. Anyway, check out the replay of the webinar: lnkd.in/eFndbVrX 👉 Join us on Monday for "The Buzz", as Marcia D Williams and I will be tackling #news and also featuring Echo VanderWal from @LukeCommission along with the one & only @jennyfroome , who will share more on the @_ASCEA 👉 Folks, don't forget to join in our 1st annual #Transportation Management Technology Survey: lnkd.in/eeTGR7my 👉 Want to learn more about our Supply Chain Now programming, including promotional opportunities? lnkd.in/eueMa9-f Have a wonderful weekend all. #GoodNews
