REPORTERS: I’m just wondering why this is being made as a campaign announcement today for a good year and both the province and Interior Health have denied it was a problem.
I would like you to elaborate a little bit more about the timing of the hospital expansion here. That sixth floor has been sitting empty for well over a decade. There have been calls to get it up and running for quite some time. What is your response to criticism about the optics not looking good here, that you are making this announcement just days before asking people to vote for your party?
Just one more quick question here with the announcement at KGH. How are you planning on staffing this new unit? We know there are shortages everywhere.
So what's your message to voters who are actually genuinely concerned that some of these pledges that would make a difference in their communities could end up as, you know, “broken promises”?

Defence Minister @DavidMcGuinty must resign, this is not leadership, this is not how you act after 4 men needlessly killed, this was obviously something seriously, seriously wrong. No one is buying it was just a grass fire. How can you lead when you are a coward who cannot get to the facts? Resign.
Asked how so many soldiers were killed and injured at CFB Wainwright, and whether any interim safety measures are in place, Defence Minister @DavidMcGuinty would not say.

Sorry, but a grass fire doesn't kill 4 soldiers and injure dozens more.
The base is now under totally communications blackout. Our soldiers can't even call home without being watched by a senior officer.

Rioters risk 5 years prison and €20.000 fines.
Parents will be held financially liable if minors vandalize and cause damage to public or private property.
Damage claims can even be enforced against a family's assets.

Newly elected Vancouver mayor @PtFry endorses @Emily_Lowan of the BC Greens. He makes it clear that his presence at Eby's event "wasn't an endorsement of the Premier."

Eby promised families of kids with autism their funding was safe.
Then he pulled the plug. 10,000+ kids get less support. 5,000+ lose direct funding entirely.
A Conservative government will extend the Autism Funding Program so no family loses the support they need.
British Columbian kids deserve strong leadership for serious times.

Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy was originally sentenced to 40 years in prison on terrorism charges.
He just got another 50 years for stabbing two prison guards in the name of ISIS.
One lost an eye.
His mother, Dr. Khdiga Metwally, is on the ballot for Halton school board trustee in Milton, Ontario Wards 1 and 2.
Her campaign pledges "safe and welcoming" schools.
She doesn't mention him.
But she is on the record, saying this about him: “My son was arrested by all unfair reasons … [he was] manipulated by FBI with the help of [Royal Canadian Mounted Police],”
“They manipulated him by ‘hyper’ talking while he was manic and wasn’t under treatment,”
Voters will get to decide Oct 26.
They deserve to know who's asking for the job.
