Update on the world building and song about this circle of Cataclysm: A few days ago I realized the blight wasn't always there. Someone messed up and brought it upon the land, and now the realm is sick and dying. Here's the updated chorus: "... And now, a vile venom spreads Choking the land of every breath A blight coursing through darkened veins This stygian storm's Rhuina's bane" I'm never giving any more of the song except for the chorus. Once my songs are done, I'll get the rights and then find somewhere to publish them! Let me know what y'all think! #writingcommunity

Song writing is so cool. I finally figured out why Maerous (formerly Reynelde) is a werewolf! It's nothing to do with the blood of the dragon (which made zero sense) — it's a specific blight on the circle of Rhuina. I'm hoping to complete four of these songs and get them copy written by the end of the year.

OH MY GOD IT'S NOT A SONG ABOUT A WITCH I REPEAT IT'S NOT A SONG ABOUT A WITCH IT'S A SONG ABOUT RHUINA (one of the six circles of the realm of Cataclysm from Roaring Radiance) THE SONG IS ABOUT HOW THE STYGIAN-STORM FORMED! THE STORM WAS ALWAYS THIS WAY FOR A YEAR: "a stygian miasma of death tinged with arcs of violet blades". I'll need to come up with a new verb, but that's a good placeholder for the moment

"if you don't know your climax, you don't know your story" This is absolutely true, and it's one of the main reasons a story will ALWAYS require at least three drafts! It's the same thing with songwriting, but with that, you START with the chorus because that's literally THE song. Once you figure out what the message of the song is, then you can dress it up with verses. I keep seeing people starting from the beginning, and it reminds me of the god awful stuff I did about 2 years ago 😂 LET ME SAVE YOU FROM MY MISTAKES

I hate to admit this... ... I went back and read chapter 1 again... ... and threw up a little about how much needed to be added to make it look even somewhat decent.. If I didn't make it public just yet, I probably wouldn't care, but people can see it... I need to make it better.
