Hitting the road for Oklahoma first Norman Then Stillwater on October 10 for OSU. Checking out two of the state’s great college football programs on one trip: crimson and cream tomorrow, orange and black later. Boomer Sooner, then Go Pokes.

Got to meet Ryan at FCA in the Switzer center when I was a student and he’s an incredible example of making good decisions. Way to lead and be the example @RyanBroyles

Cody this is well said. I experienced something similar at OU. Loved reading this.
Working in sports is a great start to any career when you are 18-24 years old and in school! Lessons learned for life.
Volunteered for the LSU recruiting department while I was in school and then worked minimum wage for 20 hours per week at Texas A&M (obviously worked more hours than that lol) before my first full-time gig at LSU, which was 40K as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
But the part I think a lot of people choose not to mention when discussing these things is the privilege that takes place for some behind the scenes. I was EXTREMELY lucky/privileged in the fact my parents were able to take care of all of my school, my bills and my rent. Most people do not have that safety net in order to chase their dreams. I can absolutely recognize how lucky I am to be doing what I’m doing and to be able chase what I wanted with my career because my parents had the means to support me early on in the journey. Not everyone had/has that. And I know I would’ve wanted that to be made clear to me if I was someone trying to get into this business because not everyone comes from the same situation.
I commend any person that chases this career in sports/media that does it without the safety net and goes all-in in order to find success on the other side. I was super lucky, I’ll always acknowledge that. But I’ll always push for upward fiscal movement within the football and sports media industry, especially at the entry level positions.

Your head coach is golfing while mine is holding up flights to recruit… nobody wants it more than Oklahoma Football! 💪
How much do the #Sooners value 2028 QB target Brady Quinn? So much that Brent Venables held up his flight to the College World Series on Monday, just for him.
Quinn discusses his visit, OU's scheme and his bond with Ben Arbuckle and John Kuceyeski...
