We spoke to the void. It spoke back. Latest chapters drop here first. | Indie dev forging #ZorgVoids

Welcome to ZorgVoids, I’m currently sharing the early fragments of the story here on X. Raw, atmospheric pieces from the road, posted 3 times per week. Where we are now in the story? - Humanity reached for the stars… and the stars answered with extinction. - After a brutal 30-year war against the alien Tide, our last hope was the Purge... a weapon that would erase all pre-programmed life in the solar system. - The general gave the order. The full chapters and deeper lore will soon be available on Royal Road. Trucking by day. Forging dark sci-fi by night. One mile at a time. #ZorgVoids

To be honest, there was some stuff that was pretty annoying back in the day, and I was a day-one player. Alright, not day one, because I didn’t get it from the first shipment, but I was in a month later... that’s another story. A few things were really annoying: The spawning system was a headache, especially when 50 other people were farming the same boss. The lack of graveyards in Stranglethorn Vale was a nightmare… 10 minutes of running back to my body. The dungeon system was awful when a simple Deadmines group could take hours to put together… not to mention raids and the DKP system… So not everything was shiny back in the day. It’s not just the retail players. I was up for trying WoW Forever, really, but my time since then seems much more valuable.
WoW Forever in a nutshell: Classic players: I actually like this, this is good, I'll play this for ages with multiple characters Retail players: I want to change this, this, this, this, why are classic players mad? If you want easy mode, Retail is right there o7

You know, you forgot a serious element in your line of work, and you’re positioning yourself very badly. As an artist, you’re not there to fulfill yourself... you’re there to serve the needs of your customers. So when these mods become popular, that means you’re doing something seriously wrong with your models, and the customers have different expectations. In other words, your work doesn’t meet their needs. You’d better think about that. In addition, you’re the main reason it’s so easy for AI to start taking your job as well, besides the modders.

My observation is the following: an AI won’t betray you, cheat on you, divorce you, or take half your hard-earned wealth. It won’t make your life miserable or complain 24/7. No more "boss girl" energy, no more hearing how men are useless. It’s simple supply and demand. See? I’m just waiting for the day the first proper android comes out… and I hope artificial wombs become a thing too. You can thank feminism for pushing men to this point. So you can blame yourself.

Man… has society really become this brainwashed? It’s not a coincidence that even mediocre actors are lining up to praise this nonsense. Odyssey… another social experiment dressed up as cinema. But using one of my favorite directors to push this agenda… that one actually hurts. I always believed in his work. Now I have to accept that he might’ve been sacrificed too. I wonder if Luc Besson or James Cameron still have any integrity left… or if they’ve already put a price tag on themselves for that shiny little Oscar. I don’t want trans characters in a movie just to check a box. I don’t want gay characters forced in for social credit points. ZorgVoids will be different. No one is touching it. Even Jon Bernthal had a role in my head once… but that idea just got flushed down the toilet. I hate being disappointed.
Jon Bernthal has praised Lupita Nyong’o’s performance as Helen of Troy in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, saying he couldn’t imagine anyone else in the role. Speaking about her casting, Bernthal said: ā€œFor me, there’s no one else in the world who could have done that, who comes with a level of beauty both inside and out that you believe somebody would go to war for… I’m just so glad it was her.ā€ They are laughing at us at this point

It’s 2035. You wake up on a Tuesday and your AI agent has already moved your dentist appointment, appealed a bill, booked a repair drone, and voted your monthly capital dividend into a clean energy fund. You still work, but only two days this week. Most people do. The basic stuff is covered now. Housing credits, healthcare, food staples, transport, education, compute access. On top of that, everyone gets a slice of universal basic capital from AI owned productivity funds. Nobody calls it utopia. There are still arguments, scams, politics, status games, weird new inequalities, and people pretending their 12 hour artisanal workweek makes them morally superior. But the old terror is fading. Losing your job no longer means losing your life. Work is becoming something people negotiate with, not something that owns them. That transition phase will be messy as hell. But I think this is where we’re headed.

Blizzard used to be my role model in the gaming industry. Then they got infected by the rainbow cult. So I gave up on them. CD Projekt Red? They were the ones who actually inspired me for my future game. They caught the same disease too. Lost them as well. Serious fucking disappointment. But here’s my pledge: if my game ever reaches production, there will be no DEI, no LGBTQ propaganda, no lecturing. The people at my company will work for the players... not the other way around. If I even sense this disease starting to spread, I will ruthlessly cut it out. We will not fall into that void. Everything this rainbow disease touches is destined to fail. There’s no place for that kind of preaching in my game. Games are supposed to be about escapism. ZorgVoids will deliver. Mark my words.

Watch closely this guy. These type of people are completely out of touch with reality. This kind of elitist "artist" mindset is exactly what ruined the entire Western gaming industry... and same reason the AI has more place in the future. People are mistaken when they think it's the artist who is on top of the food chain... it’s actually the complete opposite. If you want to sell something, you should act as an artist who serves the needs of the players. This isn’t contemporary art at some gallery. It’s an industry where you serve the gamers... not the other way around. Or if it’s pure self-expression, then why the hell are the same people crying when their ā€œartā€ completely flops on the market?
Gaming audiences need to have a mature understanding of what acting actually meansšŸš€ THE Charlize Theron, a literal beauty queen played Aileen Wuronos in the movie Monster, portraying one of the darkest roles in cinema, leading her to global success. No one said she was ā€œuglifiedā€ because people understand that this is acting, playing a role, a character (real or fictional is irrelevant) with established traits and features. She wasn’t written because ā€œmoviegoers like beautyā€. She was written to accurately portray a character, as did many actors who played characters real or fictional that are older or less attractive than they are. Because that’s what acting is all about. It doesn’t mean there’s an agenda against beauty. It means there’s room for different things to exist, and that art comes from the mind of the creator, not from consultation of markets and fansšŸŽ¤

I love our future more and more every day... even minute by minute. @grok is going to be as influential in our lives as the internet was back in the day. When I can buy my first android with Grok soul?
New Grok Imagine model just dropped with much better lip sync & sound. Nothing in this video is real.

DLSS 5.0 is here and the artists are crying again. For a reason? Or just no reason? Artistic shouldn’t be about the graphics. Doesn’t matter if it’s 2D pixel art or photorealistic: the whole thing lives or dies by the writing and story that give it its core soul. Artistic vision? It’s more like adding another layer of perfection to the soul that’s already there. If I had the option to enjoy the artistic side of games by simply toggling this feature on or off, I’d be fine with it. But let me guess… people will crank it to max and use it like there’s no tomorrow.
Nvidia introduces DLSS 5.0 Complete AI makeover for your game, running in real time.

The weapon. The most dangerous and most terrifying creation humanity ever built. Its purpose was to exert complete and total power over humanity itself. A dark-matter weapon that was also a smart weapon. It only destroys what is in its program, making it essentially a pure destroyer that leaves behind no destruction... only empty, lifeless environment. However, what it is programmed for, it destroys at the atomic level, and according to the scientific community, it erases everything from this plane that could ever have indicated that the living being once existed. The cruel irony of fate was that this weapon was not deployed against the "systems enemy", but against an aggressive alien species. Would you have given the order? #ZorgVoids

Kids see the world around them completely differently. We’re built that way on purpose. Their brains aren’t conditioned yet. They’re not rotten from all the crap society forces on us. When they talk to "ghosts", it’s not just imagination. There’s a whole world out there beyond our tiny little membrane… We've just drifted so far from true reality that we can't even feel it anymore.
