Today, I have the special pleasure of opening the 2023 biennial session of the Vermont Senate and tomorrow I’ll be handing over the gavel.👩🏼⚖️

In packing up today, I came across this gem…
On the left, @SenatorLeahy, who is stepping down today after 48 years.
On the right, my Chief of Staff Andrew Gillespie who has been there for me and Vermonters and will be sorely missed.
Thank you, Andrew, for your service.
As 2022 draws to a close, I hope Vermonters will join me in a moment of reflection today — celebrating the good, letting go of the bad, and rejoicing all we have come through together as a community and state.
Here’s to only good things to come in 2023. Happy New Year, Vermont!
Mike and I are thinking of Vermonters everywhere today and especially those serving overseas.
We hope today is full of moments of joy and wonder, big and small.
Merry Christmas, Vermonters!🎄
Vermonters, Please try to be home safe and off the roads by 4:00 pm today.
We are anticipating flash freezing beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a rapid drop in temperature. Please stay off the roads to ensure our emergency responders and utility crews can do their jobs and keep people safe. governor.vermont.gov/prepari…
An end of an era for Vermont, the nation and the world.
Earlier this year I wrote to our VT Congressional delegation urging them to pass an Afghan Adjustment Act.
Afghans starting a new life in VT (and across the US) need to know they are safe and can remain in the US.
I’m glad to see @ChrisCoons taking this up.

It was an honor to join many Vermonters yesterday to celebrate the Festival of Lights at the annual State House Menorah Lighting ceremony. Wishing all Jewish Vermonters a very happy Chanukah.
Vermonters you’re invited to join for the annual lighting of the Sate House Menorah tonight at 5pm.
Join in support of and celebration with our Jewish community. 🕎
Join me and Jewish Community leaders for the annual lighting of the State House Menorah on the third night of Chanukah this Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.

One last radio interview with Kurt & Anthony @NewsTalkWVMT this morning! Will miss it.
The calls and questions from Vermonters these last two years have helped me grow and kept me accountable. Thanks for listening!
Over the last two years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of students to the State House virtually and in person. Many as part of my “Lt. Governor for a Day” program, and many as visitors.
Last week I welcomed Elowen and her brothers as part of a school visit. (2/3)
