Me and @Inksmithart put a lot of effort into getting Christine right. She's a 1958 Plymouth Fury.
The Mac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad all solved human problems (and created many) and enabled human creativity and expression. But now we have too much technology.
The new HomeView appears to try to solve that problem Apple helped create with more technology. What is this really for?
Apple just introduced HomeView, a $299 home display that recognizes up to six people.
It brings Siri AI, FaceTime and smart home controls to one shared screen, with personal content kept separate for each user. Available November 13.
It astonishes me how much studios still chase the success of Harry Potter. The first book debuted nearly 3 decades ago and the movie a quarter century ago. Yet the story of a regular kid discovering their magic remains a predominant theme in family movies and TV.
In response to the comments, in no way did I say that Harry Potter was the first story, or first successful story, about a kid discovering their magic.
It is, however, one of the biggest financial successes of our modern era. That's what studios are chasing.
Has it been three decades already? I have specific memories of moments like sitting at my desk and drawing things for individual episodes.
I remember designing the exterior of Gerald's house. I remember writing funny foods on the school lunch menu. Etc.

Here's me drawing Arnold one decade ago.
One of our Hey Arnold! Movie artists, @Lowtwait drew us a quick Arnold in celebration of Hey Arnold's 20th Anniversary! #NickAnimation25

I think of this moment regularly.
Came to the park to fly his plane and he got a sobering lesson in police brutality.
Good parenting is telling the truth.

Followers in #Denver, get yourself tickets to this vampiric aerial dance performance. It's put on by a friend of mine who is not a vampire (so I think) but a skilled and passionate aerial artist.

I speak up every time this happens with an artist I directed. "I told them to do it that way."
First of all, it's honest. Second, art is subjective and I'd rather acknowledge that than have someone feel like there's a right and wrong, and they chose wrong.
As an Art Director, I am literally in charge of the visual style of a long running animated TV show. It's hard not to evolve style over time. Artists want to grow and push their skills. Successful shows get more budget. Style evolution becomes inevitable.
A library of the past does not make a studio of the future. This hurts the people who make entertainment with lower wages through less competition, and it hurts the audiences who enjoy it with less originality through less competition.
Excellent background design work by @hattchoworks and prop design by @Inksmithart, creating a fantastical yet believable high tech government lab.
It was purposely planned that Gloria's red paint hand marks on the wall from the previous episode would carry over to this one, only to make it more creepy when Rusty gets trapped in the basement.
The name of the company on this building, Tedesco, was the last name of an intern on Hey Arnold that I had a crush on, so I drew her name into the background design. Haha.
This is basically a job to train software to fire you from said job. What's worse is the job market in animation isn't great and I fear artists will break their ethics about AI to pay rent. I urge artists not to apply for AI jobs.
