Randal Grichuk thought he was just being brought in until Austin Hays got healthy. He wound up leading MLB in SLG vs. LHP (min. 170 PA), and will play playoff baseball for the first time in six years.
His midseason signing with the White Sox worked out.

More context here:
The Ravens' game-winning drive started with 0:07 on the clock -- the latest a game-winning drive has ever started (after a kickoff) in the ESPN database (since 1978).
That was the quickest game-winning drive ever.

#Titans HC Robert Saleh, asked if Cam Ward should’ve run the ball instead of throwing the late INT:
“Uh. Yeah. Just be smarter with the football. We've got two timeouts left, and it's 1st-and-goal on the eight; we're gonna score."
Saleh says they won’t bench Ward.

#Ravens HC Jesse Minter says the Cowboys kicking the touchback (ball at 35, no time coming off) gave them one chance to get into FG range.
“The touchback rule is huge.”
The #Cowboys kicked the ball through the end zone on the kickoff after their FG with 7 seconds left, keeping all 7 seconds on the clock.
No squib kick. No return.
That gave the Ravens one play to get into field-goal range—and they did.
The little details matter.
