Hi folks, I've started a substack blog and the first post is a long-form essay about impact of the Mutiny in 1857 on the massacre in Amritsar in 1919. I don't think we get enough context in our books and movies. If you like it, please share and subscribe! ayushyakhanna.substack.com/p…

Another linguistic lesson to that retard @DavidM_Friedman. Under international law, you are not a "terrorist" when there is occupation. The formal name is "resistant".
Palestinian terrorists engaged in stone throwing attacks yesterday all across Judea and Samaria. Of course, no journalists were on the scene because the events did not fit their narrative. And there was almost no coverage of the attacks, even from the Israeli media.

My dear friends, please, I hope to demand your absolute attention to this matter: In 2018, my junior from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, Dr. Randall Sequeira (middle in the pic), trekked up a steep, bauxite-rich plateau in Odisha to hold a monsoon health camp in the indigenous Kutiya Kondh village of Kutrumali. In a piece he wrote then titled "Kutrumali’s Demons," Randall described sleeping under a dripping school roof in freezing fog, borrowing utensils from a local health worker to cook khichdi, and waking up at 6 AM to a line of tribal mothers. He wrote with heartbreak about treating malnourished toddlers with protruding bellies and visible ribs, listening to stories of stillbirths and chronic fevers, while noticing the shiny new solar lights installed by a mining conglomerate eyeing the aluminium ore beneath the villagers' feet. Comparing his small medical team to hobbits sheltering in the night, Randall worried about the outside forces coming for that fragile village. Randall stayed with the tribal/ adivasi community to serve them. After St. John’s and an MD in Internal Medicine from SMS Jaipur, he gave up every comfort of urban medicine to live in Kalahandi, recognizing that clinical prescriptions are meaningless when indigenous communities are stripped of their forests, water, and dignity. On the night of October 16, Odisha police picked up Dr. Randall Sequeira and Dalit activist Laxman Naik at 11 PM from his home in Bhawanipatna. A gentle physician who has spent years trekking up hills to save tribal children is now locked in Rayagada sub-jail under frivolous but draconian charges (attempt to murder, dacoity), simply for standing with Adivasis peaceful protesting the mining of their sacred hills in Sijimali and Kutrumali. thewire.in/rights/randall-se… Odisha Govt. said it will cut down forests to connect tribal villages. But it was a way to bypass green laws and fast track London based Vedanta’s, and Adani's mining plans. Local organisations estimate that around 45 villages depend on these hills and would be affected. reporters-collective.in/trc/… The state has answered with repression rather than dialogue. In the last three years, at least 43 police cases have been filed and over a hundred Adivasis and Dalits, both women and men, have been incarcerated in Odisha jails. For example, from In March and april 2026, 8, 2026, to April 8, 2026, within one month, 24 people were sent to jail, 217 were made accused, and the number of “others” total 1,140. An activist who was not named in the original FIRs, but has since been implicated in about 12 cases, so that bail in one case is followed by arrest in another. This pattern of capture and releases have been used to crush rational dissent. Dr. Randall understood that being a good doctor means understanding that prescriptions cannot compensate for the denial of land rights, that surgery cannot undo displacement and that no medical can substitute for the basic infrastructure a government has failed to provide. thehindu.com/sci-tech/health… To my fellow medical fraternity, and every citizen with a conscience: a kind physician who embodies the highest ethics of our profession is being criminalized to clear the way for bauxite mining. Please do not let his voice be buried in a sub-jail. Amplify this, demand due process, and demand the immediate release. Please sign in this form to show solidarity: forms.gle/o2Rj2Uu3tXaoWu9dA If anyone can help out in this situation please reach out to Medico Friend Circle - mfcindia.org/

Dear Israel supporters who talk so much about Jewish Safety and call Palestinians terrorists: A Jewish American woman was attacked by Jewish Israeli settler-terrorists. Her life was saved by Palestinians. Hope this helps.
I wrote a full, detailed account of the October 16 settler and soldier attack on the olive harvest in Abu Falah. I think it may be the most important thing I’ve ever written. “The Palestinians Who Rescued Heidi Levine” Link in next tweet.

The ordeal that @AshutoshRanka and @SauravDassss are going through should tell you that there is no judiciary, no rule of law, no constitution no nothing. They have destroyed everything India had fought for. Regardless of whether you agree with them or not, speak up for them because if they aren’t free you aren’t either.

You are expecting those did not celebrate Danish Siddiqui's Pulitzer Prize or Banu Mushtaq's Booker Prize to congratulate Navi Pillay on her Nobel. The regime detests scrutiny, fears accountability and punishes dissent. Ideological difference is a no-go zone. It demands applause, not questions. Those who expose uncomfortable truths are treated as adversaries of the country.
It’s been six days since this remarkable woman of Indian origin (see her story, attached) won the #NobelPeacePrize. And the Government of India, her ancestral homeland, hasn’t so much as congratulated her?! Shame on the petty men who have made such a deplorable decision.

The prolonged judicial custody of Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das cannot be justified in law. I hope they are released without any further delay and more people speak up in their support.

Why did the BBC say “questioned” rather than “interviewed”? The answer is that the BBC launders Israel’s genocide, and does so to the point that they'll frame an interview with an anti-Zionist Jewish politician like it's a police interrogation.

VIETNAM IS EATING OUR LUNCH IN MANUFACTURING WHILE WE ARE BUSY COLLECTING RECORD TAXES & ARGUING ABOUT QUOTAS! The IMF's projection that Vietnam's real GDP will surge by 8.4% in 2026 (beating India's 7%) should be a national wake-up call, but our policymakers are tone-deaf! Ask anyone in global trade today: "Where is the alternative to China?" They aren't saying India - they are packing their bags and moving to Vietnam and other regions! 📍 While Vietnam builds high-speed industrial clusters, streamlined ports, and export-driven manufacturing hubs, India buries its working middle class under upto 31.2% TDS, high GST, and suffocating red tape. “You cannot win a global marathon of manufacturing when your economic runner is shackled with iron chains of bureaucratic extortion.” While Vietnam builds factories on the ground, we build 25-year vaporware roadmaps for 2047! I know i will get lots of hate and abuse for saying this but thats the brutal reality !!
Vietnam's real GDP to grow by 8.4% in 2026, faster than India's 7%: IMF

So, according to this former diplomat, Navi Pillay shouldn't be congratulated on winning the Nobel Peace Prize because she criticised India for precisely the things India ought to be criticised for. Since when did defending India's reputation require defending its failures? Wait. Don't answer that.
Astonishing post. Wants India to congratulate someone who has a long record of targeting India. Navi Pillay has regularly criticised India on human rights during her tenure as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2008–2014) She has attacked India on Kashmir and mass graves and disappearances, on AFSPA, on Sexual Violence and New Delhi gang rape(2012), calling for substantial legal and systemic reforms to tackle widespread sexual violence, and Caste and Gender Discrimination (2014) Throughout her tenure, she has has had policy frictions with India on human rights issues. India has officially responded to her attacks. She has also been a judge of the ICC which India does not recognise.. What is the case for congratulating her? Simply because she is of Indian origin?

This is what billionaire ownership of the media means: Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta shut down the No Kings account for hours during the height of their protests. Meta suppressed accounts supporting Brazil President Lula da Silva in the recent election. Larry Ellison’s TikTok blocked advertising for a documentary criticizing Elon Musk. Fight back. Defeat oligarchy. Preserve democracy.

The state is deliberately prolonging Ashu and Saurav’s illegal arrest by using every dirty trick in the book to delay court proceedings and prevent their release. They have no legal grounds to keep them behind bars, so they are resorting to delaying tactics to keep them there.
VIDEO | Delhi: Reacting to the judicial custody of CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, CJP legal head Ratna Singh says, "We have been here since morning. We were told that the entire hearing would take place at 12.00 pm. Today, everything was complete, the verification was done, and all requirements were met. We have been waiting here since noon. The SEM (Special Executive Magistrate) was at the police station by 1:30 pm, but he did not enter the courtroom until 5.00 pm. When he finally arrived, he refused to hear our case on its merits regarding whether Saurav and Ashutosh should be released from judicial custody. Instead, he made arbitrary remarks. The public prosecutor, who had not appeared at the police station for the last four days, was present today. Within about five minutes of the proceedings, the SEM told the court that he had received a threatening message. From that point on, the entire discussion revolved solely around that message. It is clear that this entire episode was orchestrated. They had decided beforehand to come into the courtroom and focus exclusively on this alleged threatening message, completely bypassing whether the formalities required for Saurav and Ashutosh's release were fulfilled. Given how this process has been deliberately delayed and handled, I am utterly disappointed..." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

Let me repeat what I said earlier: My late father arrived in the UK in 1966 as a legal immigrant. He and his fellow Indian immigrants didn’t claim the entire country was theirs, didn’t kick 100s of 1000s of Brits out of their homes, and didn’t set up an Indian ethno-national state in the UK. If you’re too dumb or dishonest to understand the difference between normal, legal immigration and settler colonialism, that’s on you, not me.
Mehdi Hasan was born in England. His father was born in India. He is now in America. His Indian family are in England. All of them are colonizers.
