It was a fine race, the final green flag run battle was very tactical, I don’t think anyone expected the 5 to get back by the 19. The 19 got very close to undercutting the 5 and possibly changing the whole outcome, similar to what the 19 did to the 24 at Chicago. 19 was in traffic all race and once he got clean air the balance changed completely. You could see him struggle off turn 2 when running high. The 5 had dominant pace on short runs but the 2nd-3rd place cars charging back made it interesting enough after 25-30 laps. Also only 2 natural cautions probably turned some fans off.

Probably one of his most impressive wins, the laps led made the car look more dominant than it was on the long runs. I thought he was totally cooked once Briscoe got by. Insane drive to get it back Also leading the most laps in the series while not in a Toyota is crazy work. He’s at 1,118 laps led.

Kyle Larson has now led 1000+ laps in 4 consecutive seasons (2023-2026) The last drivers to accomplish this were Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr, who both did it from 2016-2019

Late model races love having sheriffs deputies standing around to look tough and then proceed to do absolutely nothing to stop a fight. Guarantee they won’t charge those guys with anything either

Aside from the obvious lapped car hazards comments I can make I’ll say the 20 repair job was insanely impressive both the front and rear clips were probably completely mangled, just being able to drive the thing straight was enough to nearly win the title.
