Jim Harbaugh LOVES coaching.
His dad gave him this advice:
“You coach till you cannot step onto the field one more time...and when you come to that point, you coach for two more years.”
That says everything about the calling of coaching.

Hey, I’ve got an idea, let’s all watch the 1985 Bears defense destroy the NFL for a few minutes.

Last time in HS we didn’t meet on Saturday or Sunday as a staff.
Didn’t meet with kids till Monday. Never did a 7 on 7.
We won state and broke every passing record.
It’s HS, not the pros. Spend time with your family and let those 16 year old players have a life.
It's become "popular" for high school football programs to say "We don't meet on Sundays because of technology."
I don't know that I would do that if I returned to being a Head Coach.
Those Sunday afternoons as a staff were SO valuable to communicate, practice plan, game plan, etc etc.
I just don't see how staffs do it without meeting. The ebb and flow of scouting, and the arguments and the "what ifs" and putting together the week, etc etc etc. I don't see how you can just do all that on text or email or whatever have you.
BUT, I haven't coached since 2018.
Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Monken says as a staff, something they started at Army. He asks his guys to find three players a day and have a 60 second conversation with each of them about life - not football
Has found it to be one of the best things they do as a staff.

- "Every HC that has a great track record, has a hell of an OL coach."
- "This hire is paramount, you can't underestimate how important the battery between the play caller and OL coach is."

"If you get Sacked, there is less than a 7% chance that you score a Touchdown on that particular drive.
For Quarterbacks, it's 1-2-3 and throw the m—–f—er away."
