Crazy video of a French couple enjoying drinks and cigarettes at an outdoor café near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris as rioters and looters fight riot police and set fires just 50 meters behind the couple

China built an elevator that makes you SCREAM your lungs out Zhangjiajie’s Bailong Elevator shoots you 326 meters up in just 88 seconds. Then, BOOM! You emerge from the side of a cliff into a surreal world of towering stone pillars straight out of Avatar.

Several rioters and looters in Paris according to French police sources were armed with submachine and handguns which they acquired through their activities as part of a criminal enterprise, police officers let some go over fears of armed confrontation and manpower. Wow…

Reminder: Saudi Arabian culture is barbaric at best.
Trending Story: Saudi Arabia has exe/cuted two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, following conviction of immoral sexual act inside a mosque in Mecca. The “immoral act” was apparently a kiss on the forehead. They were newlyweds who decided to spend their honeymoon in Mecca. According to reports in Bangladesh, Saudi authorities refused to consider they were a couple, and the forehead kiss was an expression of appreciation to Allah for a beautiful bride. Their bodies have arrived in Bangladesh in two coffins for traditional burial rites. Follow @TrendingEx for dailies..

So Macron started his Presidency with riots against State Pension reforms which were needed because current age is unaffordable. Now its ending with riots started by students unhappy that the State education dept can't afford XYZ. #R4Today

Your name is Jean-Marc, you’re 46, and you run a video game and collectibles shop in Nice, wedged between an optician and a real estate agency selling 1-bed flats for €410,000 “with sea view” if you lean far enough off the balcony. You know every GTA San Andreas cheat by heart. You tested all of them in 2005 on the PS2 in your bedroom at your mum’s place. You opened in 2011 with a state-backed loan at 4.7%, and the naive belief that passion eventually pays. It did pay, sort of. €1,900 a month in a good year, after the French tax office has eaten first, second and third. Your commercial rent is indexed on a formula nobody in the Republic actually understands. You sell Funko Pops at €17.99, sealed Pokémon cards, refurbished controllers. You let little Enzo, 12, pay in installments because he’s saving for a Switch 2. You close at 7:30pm and walk home because the harbor parking is €3.40 an hour. Saturday, there’s a protest “against the cost of living.” You also think living costs too much. You almost went. At 5:12pm, your metal shutter gets ripped open with a crowbar. Forty teenagers in tracksuits and crossbody bags walk into your shop like it’s a bonus level. They take the PS5s, the Dragon Ball figures, the till with today’s €280 and even the box of paper bags that say “thank you for your visit.” A guy in a floral shirt films it vertically for TikTok. You step outside and say “stop, this is my shop.” You get hit from behind. Then rocks. They laugh. Floral shirt guy is thrilled: good angle, good lighting. Sunday morning, the police tell you there are “1,400 arrests nationwide” and they won’t send a squad for some Funko Pops. Filing the complaint takes 2 hours 40. The officer types with two fingers on Windows 7. Monday noon, your insurer reminds you that your €1,140-a-year policy has a €3,000 deductible and a “riots and civil commotion” exclusion on page 31, font size 6. Saturday night, an MP explains on TV that “the anger is legitimate” and we “shouldn’t cry over shop windows.” He’s never owned a shop window. He has a state-funded apartment. Sunday, your limited edition Vegeta figures show up on Vinted. “Brand new, never opened, €39, pickup in North Nice.” The seller has 4.9 stars. Monday, the tax office emails you. They haven’t heard about the riots. They’ve heard about your payment deadline. You did everything right, Jean-Marc. That was never the problem. The problem is you were playing by the rules in a lobby where nobody else does. So stop believing in the State. It’s not coming to save you. It’s coming to collect. Stop voting. Every five years they hand you the controller, and it’s never plugged in. Go to the gym. Not for revenge. For you. Because when the system folds, the only asset nobody can loot is the one you built under a barbell. And make money they can’t see. Cash, side hustles, sats on a cold wallet in a sock drawer. Not your keys, not your coins. Not your shop, not your loss. Fuck the system, Jean-Marc. It already did it to you first.

The protests are probably gonna sway more people in Le Pen's direction
Mélenchon realizing he’s the compromise as he watches under 35s go to war with the French state is a bit hilarious Like he’s in the street & you can see it in his eyes, realizing this is a revolutionary moment that can change history forever, & even *he* didn’t expect this.

After a short break, I will start publishing again tonight. Many people asked me what I think about the events in France 🇫🇷 : I was in Lille so I saw the usual protest (around 20k people, mostly left, far left, communist...) which was marching and mainly singing "We all hate the police" or "We all hate the RN/far right" + some revolution/anti-macron songs. To explain, the initial call for protest was from the Yellow Jersey movement (from 2019), which is very diverse and not left-wing. They wanted to protest against the price of life and gas, but the movement was hijacked by LFI (far left), which is why it was looking more like a usual left wing protest (something that is happening very often in France. What is more problematic, and everyone saw it, is the mass unrest that happened in many cities. In Lille, all the city center got attacked and looted by groups of "youngs" and the state of the city yesterday evening was looking apocalyptic. I know it happened elsewhere in France, with attacks and loots in many cities. It's very sad that my country has come to this state, but it will only worsen until the presidential elections and happen elsewhere; we've seen Belgium or Italy. April/May 2027 may have a near civil war situation, since it is very likely Marine Le Pen (RN) will win the elections. What is happening these days in France is helping Le Pen more than anything.

I will, for the rest of my life, vote for whoever not only does the opposite of whatever this stupid shit is, but recalibrates pension systems so we’re not completely fucking over young people for spoilt, selfish boomers.

The average Chinese person is more right wing than Le Pen on race and migration. Here we have a French socialist (OP is a Mélenchon voter) getting triggered by a CCP spokesman who said it is sad that France is 'turning into a third world country'. OP is a successful French entrepreneur and a huge Sinophile. It's funny to me how the group of Westerners who support China the most are liberals and socialists. When China is much more socially right wing than Europe's 'far right' politicians and much lower tax than Reagan and Trump. Western socialists who support China are like Democrats who moved to Florida during covid but kept on voting for Biden. They enjoy the fruits of conservatism but refuse to acknowledge nor support it. They don't realize a large part to the success of China is an ethnically homogeneous high IQ society where the leadership is almost entirely men. Socially very conservative and fiscally very low tax - the opposite of the likes of Mélenchon.
