Data-centers could become prisons, an American future where capacity to house MILLIONS of inmates is our new reality. • El Paso/Socorro, Texas: Warehouses purchased for a proposed 8,500-bed immigration detention complex. • Roxbury, New Jersey: A warehouse purchased for $129.3 million for proposed conversion into immigration detention space. • San Antonio, Texas: A 640,000-square-foot warehouse purchased for proposed conversion into a detention facility accommodating up to 1,500 people. • Romulus, Michigan: A 261,000-square-foot warehouse purchased for $34.7 million for a proposed 500-bed detention facility. • Oakwood, Georgia: A roughly 500,000-square-foot warehouse proposed for conversion into immigration detention space. • Social Circle, Georgia: A million-square-foot warehouse purchased for $128.6 million for a proposed detention facility holding thousands.
‼️URGENT‼️ America may be building the infrastructure for mass incarceration under the banner of an AI boom — and waiting for proof of a coordinated plan could mean waiting until that infrastructure is already in place. That is the danger I see in the data-center gold rush - an inevitable bubble burst that hands the federal government 5,000+ prepackaged, fully functioning prisons. The scenario is straightforward: private capital finances a nationwide network of large, secured industrial buildings. When AI revenues fail to justify the investments and ongoing costs of operating with quickly obsolete hardware, distressed facilities will become acquisition targets. Only then will the Government step in, and infrastructure that was sold to communities as economic development, becomes available for an entirely different purpose. Mass Detention. A data center is not a turnkey prison. But land, windowless buildings, out of sight of most public-view, utilities, and secured perimeters provide a great starting point for a bad future reality. Granted, conversion requires money and political will. But, neither is an insurmountable obstacle for a government committed to expanding detention. Seemingly unrelated, the public response (or lack thereof) to recent aggressive immigration enforcement, matters. The militarized and untrained immigration officers marching armed down the street, matters. Every tolerated public abuse signals how much further authorities may be able to go than in the past. It need not be an organized “test” to function as one. We have failed. The danger is where these trajectories meet: obvious financially vulnerable infrastructure and a government already proven to be willing to expand its power to detain. Just consider the hypothetical scale: 5,000 moderately sized facilities. 1,000 beds each. Five. million. people. detained. simultaneously. If they ever announced a plan to build thousands of prisons, and the public got a chance to resist… We would resist. The intent would be too obvious. However, if they let private industry convince you to approve thousands of industrial developments individually, one by one, subsidized by capital markets, government loan guarantees, local tax-abatements, then the government can pursue quick-conversions later, and the fight begins with the buildings already standing. If I’m not clear so far: I suspect the data-center boom is simply a Trojan horse for building mass-detention facilities. Suspicion is not proof of a secret plan. It is a reason to investigate ownership, financing, government contracts, and any proposed changes of use—NOW. JUST IN: Netanyahu announces that after Gaza he will transfer the war on West Bank “I and Katz have reviewed a plan for a large-scale military operation that hasn't occurred in the West Bank since 1967, and we are the ones who will determine its timing. The army will enter the neighborhoods from which the attackers originated, evacuate the residents, inspect every house, and destroy the infrastructure of terrorism. We are prepared for a large-scale operation in the West Bank.”

This was a wild read about Jared Kushner’s hacked phone and what was discovered within it. Everyone should be speaking about it. Vanity Fair should remove it from behind a paywall. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…
Jared Kushner needs to be arrested and charged with espionage and treason.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is lying. No coordination was required, and we were never told that it was. We were not in a restricted security area. We did not pass any checkpoints. Palestinian farmers do not — and should not — need permits to harvest their own olive fields. But they fear doing so, because the IDF doesn’t protect them from settler violence. We’re trying to model solidarity & co-existence between Jews and Palestinians, and to call attention to the horrors of the occupation. The Israeli government is trying to foment violence between Jews and Palestinians, and to make it impossible for Palestinians to harvest their olive groves, drive on their roads, or live in their homes.
This was not about harvesting olives. It was about harvesting headlines. Brad Lander’s latest stunt is nothing more than a calculated political provocation. Lander traveled to a foreign country, deliberately entered a restricted security area, and participated in an unauthorized activity without the required coordination. What makes this stunt even more outrageous is that his own team contacted Israeli representatives in the United States ahead of his visit and was explicitly informed that proper coordination with the relevant authorities was required. He chose to ignore those instructions. At a time of heightened security tensions, Israeli security forces have a responsibility to protect lives, prevent dangerous incidents, and maintain public order. Had anyone been injured as a result of his reckless political theater, Lander would undoubtedly have been among the first to demand that Israeli authorities intervene and provide protection. Brad Lander came looking for a confrontation. Now he is pretending to be its victim.

Now that @RepThomasMassie has named the two @CapitolPolice plainclothes counter-surveillance officers who "found" the DNC pipe b0mb, it's time to remind you that they never "looked" for the device. They went straight to it, with complete foreknowledge of its location ... then stopped looking for more. The full video is attached. Also... USCP Special Agents Don Hankins and Ronald Ridgley, who both work for the intelligence division of the Capitol Police, have never been subjected to "under oath" transcribed interviews because of the obstructionism of @SpeakerJohnson, @JudiciaryGOP, and USCP general counsel Thomas 'Tad' DiBiase. In light of @SteveBakerUSA’s new CCTV video which appears to exonerate Brian Cole Jr, I sent a letter to @FBIDirectorKash & DOJ today, requesting they immediately review the video, release Mr. Cole, and conduct a J6 pipe bomb investigation to include police & other officials.

🚨🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Why would the IDF be the one digging through the rubble of a collapsed condo in Florida? Former SEAL and McAfee bodyguard Jimmy Watson says McAfee had tweeted his three terabytes of files were stored at the Champlain Towers in Surfside, that the building fell just HOURS after McAfee was found hanged, and the strangest part of all... The IDF was sent in while nobody else was allowed to touch the collapse site. The official reason was that Israeli citizens were among the missing and Israel's rescue unit is one of the best in the world. McAfee spent his final years claiming he'd gotten inside government computer systems and walked away with evidence of corruption on powerful officials, and swore that if he ever turned up dead, it wouldn't be by his own hand. What could've been in those files? Source: @ShawnRyan762 on IG / Writer: Daniel

I am a Jew from Ireland too, daughter of a German born holocaust survivor. And I'm ashamed that Ireland played Israel in the first place. Israel has fuck all to do with me and is a genocidal ethno-supremacist nation. Am in awe of Gavin Bazunu. His moral clarity and immense bravery in standing up for innocent lives, despite the immense pressure and isolation he faced, is phenomenal. 'Never again' means never again, anywhere, ever.

🇮🇱 Netanyahu just asked UN delegates to imagine the very building they’re sitting in being OBLITERATED. “Do you know what just one one-ton ballistic missile would do if it hit this place?” He claimed one missile could destroy the compound and two could wipe out the UN. Netanyahu came to address the General Assembly and ended up giving everyone a hypothetical missile-strike briefing on their own workplace. Writer: Lynn

The hedge fund manager who taught Michael Burry to pick stocks accidentally destroyed the mutual fund industry in a free Talks at Google lecture on the two-line formula that turned $10,000 into $8.3 million. His fund charged 2 and 20. He gave the strategy away in a $12 book. Almost no one paying a financial advisor 1 percent of their retirement has finished the lecture. His name is Joel Greenblatt. He founded Gotham Capital in 1985 and compounded roughly 40 percent a year for twenty consecutive years. He returned all outside capital in 1994 because his edge was too crowded to scale. He has been teaching value investing at Columbia Business School every year since 1996. Michael Burry - the doctor who shorted the housing bubble in "The Big Short" - learned to pick stocks from Greenblatt's 1997 book. The 55-minute clip in this video is Greenblatt at Google in 2017 walking a room of engineers through his Magic Formula. The whole framework fits on one napkin. Rank every stock in the S&P 500 by return on invested capital, highest first. Then rank every stock by earnings yield, highest first. Sum the two rankings. Buy the top twenty. Hold for one year. Sell. Repeat. That single formula would have beaten the S&P 500 by roughly 14 percent a year over the last three decades if any retail investor had actually followed it. "Cheap and good beats expensive and average. Every time." That is Joel Greenblatt at Google in 2017. He has repeated the sentence in every public talk since. Almost no retail investor buying Nvidia at $140 has heard it. Every hedge fund on Wall Street pays $500,000-a-year analysts to backtest more sophisticated versions of the same equation. Every financial advisor in America charges you 1 percent of your account per year to underperform it. The Talks at Google video is free on YouTube. "The Little Book That Beats the Market" is twelve dollars on Amazon. Almost none of the millions who watched have ever run the two-line formula on their own portfolio. The framework is free. The willingness to actually run it before your next stock pick, retirement rebalance, or brokerage transfer is the entire edge.

Just remember, @nvidia CEO @JensenHuang built his business with proprietary technology that his cousin stole/shared with him while she was an executive at IBM. Now, she’s the CEO of @AMD and he’s the CEO of Nvidia. FIRST COUSINS. Collectively, the two hold arguably the most concentrated/centralized power over AI and its infrastructure, across the entirety of the planet. Some would argue, that this is not just an equivalent to, but is the embodiment of a singular, unmonitored and uncontrolled power-center, over all of humanity.
