Not Terrible Curling

Won our last game at a bonspiel. That’s always a good thing. We won the consolation event but we will take it either way. Leaving with some pride and bragging rights. Curled a really awesome game and called a better one.

Monday night tie. Cause we can tie now. Feels like a loss because I flashed on a wide open hit. Just too amped. But it’s a league night. That’s good info for my upcoming qualifiers. Def will learn from that. I called a really good game.

Tuesday and Thursday leagues, Ws in both. 11-3 winners Tuesday. 9-8 winners tonight. We did not blow a 3 point lead in the 8th. That was nice. Was quite good on Tuesday. Body fatigued today and was hit and miss. I’ll take it though! Glitter spiel volunteering this weekend.

We’re back baaaaaaby. Skipping Monday night early draft league. Took an L. Left the club at 8:36 pm. Amazing. Went in super self conscious as a mediocre arena 5U skip in a competitive dedicated ice club. But you know what? I was pretty fucking good. Back at it tomorrow.

Game 3 went about as well as game 2. I did not play great tho. Pretty tired with the late draw. 😓

Welp. Good news about game 2 was that we got to be the first team in to stack….by a lot. I was pretty decent. So that’s nice.

Game 1 of pool play ended with a W. Got a fortunate pick from the opposing skip to send us from taking 2 and going to a tie breaker to hitting a draw for 3. I was able to get back into the swing of things pretty quickly. Felt good.

Registered for the league lottery and have a bonspiel this weekend. Back like we never left. Can’t wait to be out of breath and throwing heavy. League play starts back up in October with a new fancy Ice Grid.

I don’t care about the red card issue. Will say Trump should get the MLB on the phone to discuss Armando Galarraga.

Dallas out. Colorado out. Minnesota out.

Welp, that’s a wrap for The Molly Maguires. Lost to a good team in the B final. Some really good shots from us didn’t go our way on the arena ice. One end got away from us and we battled back. Definitely made them work for it. Lot of fun this weekend.

The Molly Maguires winners in the B Semi. 5 in the 7th sealed it in the grudge rematch from pool play. Back on against another Houston team in about an hour. Also, I won a raffle!

Have a bye in the B quarterfinal. Next game 10 am CST tomorrow. I’m just as shocked as you are with our fourth worst DSC.

Lost after we missed a take out by ticking a guard on our last shot. Kyle hit a great draw for the win. A tie would have put us both in the A. Now we wait to see if we are in the B or C. Real fun game.

Another win for TMM, 9-5 after 7. Skipper fell on his shot in the 6th and other skip hit a killer shot to follow. Made it a little more hairy than it needed to be. Need to win our pool to stay in the A because our DSC was not good. Some fun times so far.

Team The Molly Maguires were big winners. Hand shakes after 5. 1-0 in pool play with two tough teams left at the May Open at Lone Star Curling Club in Austin. Good to be back home.

How did it finish? Anyone! How did it finish?! So glad I don’t have to cheer for the Avs anymore.
