100%. Manager has refused to play little ball all season. Just feels like a robot managing at times and nothing changes. You don’t want to play small ball in July much, that’s fine. But in a must win playoff game, it needs to be managed differently. Just would love to see them make other teams make plays much more. We see other teams do it against the O’s all the time and they have success with it. So many are obsessed with HR’s nowadays and just having guys swing away. But there needs to be a healthy balance especially in must win games. Ragans was feeling himself all game and didn’t have anything done to throw him off. Make him field a bunt, move around on the bases, get in his head. I’m a huge fan of Ragans and think he’s an ace, but they didn’t give him many threats. The guy walked 2+ batters in 8 of his last 10 starts and none today. He was stellar, but some of that falls on the approach.
